    Page updates

http://www.cruzbike.com/tracker Just saw this link, which can be found on the left hand side at the very bottom "Updated Pages." I was watching John post the new Quest chainstay option, longer boom option, and Jim posting the Quest 451 with the rear rack in the history, checking it over a...

    belt drive for the Vendetta?

Interesting idea, but the Vendetta is designed to work with road bike components, so unless you know of an IHG with a 130mm spacing it would be a no-go. This could work on a Quest of Sofrider, though not quite as fast or sexy.

    Brief Update

Great update John!!! Maybe just leave room for a 28-32mm rear tire, and that should offer enough passive plushness for those that feel the need. Are you running a 23mm tire right now?

    Standard rack on Sofrider

That was my next move John, which I will do after another ride. All the pix are front a 1st gen iPhone which I think has a 2mp camera. Just waiting till the hype dies down before getting the iPhone 4 with a 5mp camera and HD video, which should be fun as it lets you upload straight to YouTube.

    Standard rack on Sofrider

After this mornings ride, I wanted to get a little more low end so I installed a Truvativ Stylo 2.2 175mm crankset with a 36/24T and nice chainguard (bringing the granny gear inches from 27.6" to 19.3" http://sheldonbrown.com/gears/). I also wanted to get the handlebars a little further away as...

    Standard rack on Sofrider

Yup, seen those solutions, but was hoping to avoid them. So far the rack is A-ok mounted as is. We just did a dawn patrol morning ride up a fairly bumpy grade with a fast descent, and everything seems to be fine with the rack. I was also surprised that I was able to mash up this...

    Standard rack on Sofrider

Reading about all the different rear rack setups I figured I had to see what the issues were mounting a regular rack. The front struts are a springy steel and shouldn't have any problem bending with the mild suspension action eh. I used some longer M5 bolts to mount the rack to the upper rack...

    New Silvio

Sweet looking Silvio...always loved Aerospokes. Lucky you got one as they are listed on the Catalog & Prices pages as temporarily out of stock. Regarding the shock pump, Topeak makes a nice unit that is a little easier to use, portable and even has a cool carbon facia to match your Silvio...

    Quest 559 brake adjustment

Some times disc rotors need to be trued..and you can do it by hand. Just find the high spot, rotate the rotor till it's 180deg. from the caliper and grab the neighboring spokes and pull the edge of the rotor towards them, no fancy tools required. It takes a little practice but works like a...
