Towing a trailer with an S40

Does anyone tow a kid/dog trailer with an S40?

I have a 2020 S40 with a rear-thru axle about 125mm long. I checked out the Robert Axle Project, and they told me they don't have an axle to fit my bike.

I'm looking for some assistance on attaching the trailer's tow hitch to the S40.

Respectfully,

Hi, I am in the middle of building a single wheel trailer for my S40.
The thru-axle is hollow, I am planning on running a quick release skewer through the center & hooking to that.
I imagine you should be able to clamp a two wheel trailer attachment on similarly.
cheers

Max - great minds think alike - isn't this what you were talking about with me the other day? Sounds like the best and easiest solution to date.

I suppose I should update my trailer connection info.
The trailer is made out of 1/2" Styrofoam coated with epoxy & fiberglass.
If I remove the wheel & hooks it is the right dimension to be stowable luggage on an airplane.

My original idea of using a quick release skewer didn't work out, the skewer was too thin, it had too much play and was "sloppy" towing & I kept losing nuts.
I ended up finding a tent peg that fit snugly in the axle & treaded the end. For the nut I epoxied a ny-lock nut in a propane bottle cap, then added another nut to lock just for extra peace of mind,

Last summer, we flew to Prince George, rode to Prince Rupert, then caught the ferry back to Vancouver Island.
Trailer performed well.
