    Adjusting the rear suspension

Correction to the previous post: (derr!) "I have found the best way to adjust the rear suspesion on my 559 Quest, "Don Quixote" is to gently lie the bike down on its right side ... preferably on a soft grassy verge with the front wheel disc brake assembly, the left hand handlebar grip, ..... "

    Adjusting the rear suspension

I have found the best way to adjust the rear suspesion on my 559 Quest, "Don Quixote" is to gently lie the bike down on its right side ... preferably on a soft grassy verge with the front wheel disc brake assembly, the right hand handlebar grip, the seat surround and the rear hub all bearing the...

    New tires on 559?

I just read your query / discussion re tyres for a Quest 559. Please refer my comments in another forum - "Re: First Ride: From South Perth to Bassendean by Pivot on Wed Jul 28, 2010 9:13 am" page 3 of 4 and page 4 of 4 for my findings. Regards, Pivot Can't wait for some decent spring...

First Ride: From South Perth to Bassendean

Hi John! Thanks for your comments on my last re "tyres for Quest 559". I write, in response, just to make the clarification that the Maxxis "Detonator" tyres fitted were size 25-559 - slightly larger than the original 20-559. As mentioned, this tyre gave sufficient clearance to run quite freely...

First Ride: From South Perth to Bassendean

Just a really quick comment / story on the gear that can be fitted to a 559 Quest ..... tyres in particular. A few weeks ago I started having a series of flat tyres (maybe from glass embedded in the the rear tyre). I should mention that the tyre originally fitted, the Primo Racer 26" x1" had...

First Ride: From South Perth to Bassendean

This is my Quest, "Don Quixote" with a Topeak MTX Expandable Pannier Bag. The Topeak rack allows it to slide in and out. Having covered about 500 km since February, I'm finally really finding it a delight to ride. I'm using it mainly for recreation but hope to do a 15 km (one way) commute in the...

    commuting and recreational?

What an incredible array of mouth watering photos taken and submitted by Nanda H. http://www.cruzbike.com/forums/posting.php?mode=reply&f=22&t=2261# It really shows off the versatility of the Quest 451. I wonder if someone could do this same task when the 26" - 559 hits the highways!

    first ride: Quest 20 inch

What a great video! I'm really looking forward to riding a 26" Quest around Geelong in a few days! The Primo racer 1.0" tyre tread pattern looks like a great alternative to the Kenda West 1 1/8" as fitted to the 20" Quest.
