    SOLD - Vendetta V20 - $2500 - Portland, OR

That was a great deal. I put aside all of my doubts about getting into a Vendetta at that price, but was still a couple of hours too late!

    Mixing Cruzbike with RWDs

How many Cruzbike owners regularly switch back and forth with "conventional" recumbents (non-MBB)? Any difficulties in maintaining different skills?

    New S30 pictures?

One of the things holding me back from buying the last iteration of the S30 was concern about the shorter wheelbase and some of the steep climbs around my area. The S40 design added to the wheelbase, but unfortunately, the seat angle is just a bit steep for me. I'm stuck with either adding a...

I sense a disturbance in the 3rd Law

That will be a test I'll look forward to! Could be just the thing for us weaklings that need to climb!

    Getting Off the Fence

I know exactly what you mean! I'm over in Cd'A, and struggling over the decision. I've been on recumbents a few years primarily because of cervical disk issues, but also because there is no pain anywhere after a long ride (although I haven't ridden much in the past two). A couple of years...

    First Cruz ride

hobbies Those are whippets, and we have 5 at the moment. 3 are pure racers, 2 are show and race. Combined with 3 terrier rescues, it is a full house. It is all amateur club racing (meaning no betting and no winnings), but it is fun to watch and photograph "the kids" doing what the love...

    What drove your decision process?

leaning I'm currently leaning toward the Vendetta, but primarily because I don't want the front suspension of the S30. Ideal for me would be a Silvio with a solid front fork and a seat adjustable from 20-27 degrees. Or maybe that is just an adjustable seat V ;).

    First Cruz ride

what happens next Charles, next is convincing myself that I am going to ride enough to justify the expenditure. After a cross country move, a blown meniscus and surgery, and immersion in a new hobby, I have to get back in the riding routine. Retirement has proven far busier than work ever...

    First ride on my V20

Looks great! Does the raised seat interfere with handlebar control at all?

    First Cruz ride

Many thanks to Robert for showing me around at Rose City Recumbents and formally introducing me to the Cruzbikes. I know Robert was giving up more of his Saturday than he intended to show me the bikes and let me try them out. I'm happy to say..."what's all the hub-bub about?" Okay, so...

numbness in tip of middle finger on right hand

Late to the discussion Larry, still having bouts of numbness? Is the finger tip pale and waxy, like it got too cold? If so, look up information on Raynaud's Syndrome. I have a pretty good case of it in my right hand (middle finger and thumb), but can usually avoid it if I wear good warm...

    What drove your decision process?

Good to know Kline, thanks for that perspective of the CA. My Corsa was a decent climber at 24lbs, my Giro is a pig. I'm out of shape at the moment, but even the 7% grade up to the house requires the bottom of its range (21.4 inches).

    What drove your decision process?

Funny, that Just read the blog post, Bob. Funny how our own feelings of immortality can cause such stark reminders at times. I did 26 years in the Air Force...and have 26 screws to show for it. One shattered leg, four shoulder surgeries, 4 herniated discs...mostly because "pilot" tends to...

    What drove your decision process?

I suppose I should add the cycling history I didn't really talk about my background before recumbents. I was career USAF and a pilot for years until my rank became sufficient that it was deemed oak was better a better cockpit than aluminum for my talents. Spent the last few years in...

    What drove your decision process?

It seems, from my brief exposure here, that several forum members bought Silvios and subsequently (some in very short order...Rick) bought a Vendetta. Just wondering what the decision process was like. I will have my first ride over at Rose City in a couple of weekends, and that will help me...
