    What do I have, please?

Yes, disassembly for doing a (relatively) quick fold to fit the bike in the trunk/boot of a car, for instance. Loosen the thumbscrews, undo the QR on the seatpost, and off comes the seat. Remove the rear wheel, release the QR on the shock, and you can fold the rear stays forward under the frame...

Six day challenge (ride with cruzbike3kc in spirit)

Day 2 done. 45 minutes of Mississippi humidity. Can't imagine riding in 110+ temps, "dry heat" or not.

    What do I have, please?

It looks like a version 1 Quest with a few version 2 mods. The Schrader-drilled rims match V1 specs, as do the Tektro Aquilo brakes, and Microshift shifters and derailleurs. (The original cassette was 9-speed, though.) The e-ring and single crankset are V2/V3, as are the thumbscrews attaching...

Six day challenge (ride with cruzbike3kc in spirit)

I'll give it a go, subject to the scattered afternoon thundershowers predicted all week. 22.6 miles today on the S30.

Cracked seat back on early Quest

    Fighting residual wobblies

I tended to weave for months after learning to ride the Q, and it concerned me, like "am I ever really going to get the hang of this." One day I realized that it was no longer a losing-control wobble; it was natural, and no worse than I'd ever done on my uprights. I was able to relax a lot more...

    Cruzbike archive specs list?

No archive page that I know of, but it would be nice to have. I used to ride a Silvio 1.5 and would have liked to have the original specs available. TerraTrike, for instance, has a history of the company's founding, and a page with a color-coded table for some of their legacy models. You might...

    Change Quest 2.0 to 3.0?

I have the DD, and plan to stick with it. Shifting while stopped/coasting has been of great benefit, and I like being able to adjust the front triangle without worrying about a front derailleur. I seem to remember that switching the S30 from suspended to unsuspended fork saved about 1 lb, but I...

    Change Quest 2.0 to 3.0?

That's what I wanted to know. I remembered your Trail Quest, but had forgotten you also had a V2. Thanks!

    Change Quest 2.0 to 3.0?

Enough to squeeze a 700c in there if the tire isn't too wide/tall. There used to be a picture of someone's "Turbo Quest" with 700c wheels and drop bars on the old forums, but the picture didn't survive the forum changeover. Someone else, more recently, put 650B wheels on their Q3.0. I'm just...

    Change Quest 2.0 to 3.0?

I don't think they changed the frame at all from Q2.0 to Q3.0, but instead chose a fork with a length that would compensate for not having the shock. I could be wrong, though.

    Change Quest 2.0 to 3.0?

For those who have ridden both the older full-suspension Quest and the rear-shock-only Quest 3.0 or QX100: How much difference is there in weight, handling, speed, etc. without the front suspension? Is there enough benefit to replacing the suspension fork with an unsuspended fork (assuming...

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

The Q-series front suspension went away starting with the Quest 3.0 about three years ago. I never realized how much the front end on my Q451 2.0 pogoed under hard efforts until I stiffened up the back end with the air shock. Changing those clamps not to require the external bearing cups has...

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

Thank you, Paul Harvey! The V20, S40, T50 (53 to 76). Nicely spaced lineup, both in seat angle and purpose. And, for the first time, all the models are unsuspended ...except the QX100. Makes one wonder even more whether the Q-series has a future. 24" seat height is higher than I'd expected...

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

Mulling it all over on my commute home today... So we now have the 50-ish to 75-degree, low-end T50; the 35- to 45-degree utility QX100; a new Silvio S45, date available TBA; the (sold out) 33-degree Silvio S30; and the ultra laid-back Vendetta V20. Plus this cryptic statement: Hmm. If the...

Is it a Rival Yaw derailleur? Setup is way different from other front derailleurs. They're great once you get them right, though. First Silvio ride was a wash...literally Q-ring/front derailleur issue

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

I figured the T50 was put together like the Q-series. Since I have the DualDrive, I have a rear derailleur tensioning the chain, so that's never been a problem.

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

    3) Cruzbike used to spec the SRAM DualDrive IGH on their Quest (predecessor to the current QX100). I assume the Alfine would work in similar fashion. Don't know enough about the Rohloff to say. The distance between the hub and the bottom bracket (cranks) is fixed, just as on an upright bike, by...

    Crank Question

It should spin easily, at least two or three complete revolutions. Here's a short (45 sec.) video from another forum post: Vendetta V20 Build diary 2016']Vendetta V20 Build diary 2016[/URL] Which bike do you have it installed on?
