I've found some women's exercise/yoga shorts that were stretchy and form fitting without being tight and made from sweat wicking material that works pretty well. Otherwise, also wear running shorts.

I don't know specifically what the author of that calculator considers high/medium/low, but I suspect if your feet are above your hips, then its high.

I suspect a small fairing for at least the crankset area would reduce the effective frontal area as well as turbulence caused by the moving parts, human and machine.
