Riding in Yakima sounds like fun. I’m game. I’ve only been through there once so I’d be relying on local knowledge. I bet that would be a pretty centrally located (and warm/dry) spot for quite a few PNW riders actually. Portland is also good.

That is a lot of rust. I’ve had several Cruzbike over the years, some ridden in all conditions and let drip dry - in the Pacific Northwest - none have ever looked anything close to that bad. something is definitely wrong there.

@ak-tux - this post is awesome! You look great and so happy on the bike (homepage story image). @billyk is a tenacious magician on this one - so happy to have heard the resolution of such a long and hard road - so many false-flats on this particular climb. :) So stoked for you!!

I think the answer is “it is there”.

What @3bs said. Someone like you with clear, concise, and honest evaluations of your experiences is more valuable criteria in this Tribe than the bike you ride. I mean @RojoRacing is on a rowing machine these days - at least you have wheels. :D

Glad to see that this is a mechanical, and therefore, repairable issue. Being denied never feels good but I don’t expect you will be stopped permanently.

can't trust the groupset since you said it's newly built up. But...because the seat has screws in the seat-pan I'm guessing Jim or Maria's RAAM winning frame. Guessing Jim's because the stickers at the top of the boom are inside the clamp - he runs taller than. most.

That front triangle at least was either A) in the RAAM or B) owned/assembled by @ratz. I recognize those stickers. And if it's not Ratz' bike then I very well may have attached those stickers. :) I don't know if the background of this pic is Kentucky or South Carolina or New England...that...
