    Kickr app

How do like the Kickr Snap with the cruzbike? Easy to put on and off? how bad is tire wear? I'm thinking of getting a trainer but don't want to have to disassemble the bike each use like i would with the kickr.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

That's a pretty cool idea. It never occurred to me that it was possible to run wire that way.

    S40 Versus the new Q

The S40 seems pretty smooth and comfortable to me and has plenty of abiltly to carry cargo for touring/ bike camping. I adjust the seat angle on the fly by sitting up when I feel the need ( comparable to riding standing on a df to me). The only tempting feature of the Q is the folding...

    It has became normal

While there are a few things I am still trying to master like hand's free riding or climbing extreme inclines, i no longer go riding on a cruzbike I now just go riding.....on my bike All aspects of riding my S40 have now become normal and I'm no longer thinking about balance or pulling with...

Sometimes you just need a little bigger Sling Pack

Mine does some, but not enough to notice while riding. Though mine is not as form fitting as the ones Cruzbike sells, nor is it as tightly strapped did as theirs can be, i would imange they don't swing much

    S40 Headrest

I cut the bent ends off the headrest tubes and installed it upside down. It makes a good handle and I thing it looks good that way

Sometimes you just need a little bigger Sling Pack

This was the upper frame bag I originally made for my DF. I shortened it and altered how it attaches to make it work for the S40

A few simple thing made a difference

A few things I have done recently improved my riding My old shoes were pretty worn and where not suited for clipping in well at the angle of the S40. The new pair makes it much easier to start from a stop because they slide in so well to the cleats. The other benefit that i didn't expect...

Effect of lowering boom on steering tube?

So i tried the boom lowered one spacer and then back up again. I wanted to like the lower configuration so that my hands would be lower but i really like it better up. I can't pinpoint a reason it just feels better.

    first S40 ride today

Extending the boom closer to me did raise my hands and brought my shoulders back too, both of which i like, right now when i sit up straight my chest almost touches the handle bars

    S40 questions

hello, how did you end up liking the ventitsit pad made for the S40? did it fit better than the stock cushion,my option of it matches your earlier post about it. I'm considering getting one but only if its wider the the stock. regards Kenneth

    first S40 ride today

No, I meant in the adjustments to the bike. I keep thinking I've got it dialed in, but then as I ride it will seem a little off. Each adjustment I make seems to bring me closer to how I think the bike should feel and how my power is transfered to it, so I'm hopeful soon it will close to 100%...

    S40- Wow!

Leif, I see when you took out the headrest you left the spot empty. You might consider flipping it over as it makes a good handle and looks good to I think. I plan to make a bag the uses it as a rack to hang on. I just cut off the curved ends and put it put it in upside down.

Where does the motivation go when commuting

my motivation to commute to work for many a year was simply it was the only time I had. You mention kids, they grow, then you have more and they grow more. I was pretty busy with them for a lot of years. My family wasn't really interested in riding, so i carved out that time for myself. Many a...

    first S40 ride today

Hello Lief, I joined the forum originally in 2012 when I first started looking into cruzbike has an alternative to DF bikes as a bad disc was making it difficult to ride. But in the end I ended up not pulling the trigger and went the route of altering my DF. I raised the steering tube...

Effect of lowering boom on steering tube?

I've been browsing the forum and was reading about lowering the boom on the fork steering tube. Other than bike fit does this have any benefit in handling or power transfer ? I'm just fiddling around with the S40 some trying to find the best set up and wondered how this would change things. I...

How best to determine crank length?

I've been riding for a week or so now on the 135's and they seem fine and natural enough, certainly don't feel bad or ackward. Going to a CB which is so different from a DF and changing the crank length at the same time has made it hard for me to judge what the effect is really. I still haven't...
