    pedal fairings

When Aurélien Bonneteau broke the 1-hour record in 2012, he rode a bike with pedal fairings: https://www.recumbent.news/2012/06/08/one-hour-world-record-56597km/. Has anyone here ever tried this?

    New race case?

I’ve switched back to using a Brain Box because I can stuff a 3.75L bladder in it. But here is how the Race Case looked with the bottles plumbed together.

    Peeing

I looked into this some more and found this article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3699228/. Vasopressin increased "139% 5 min. after standing and 275% 120 min. after standing." They didn't do the reverse experiment, but it must have a similar reverse effect. So posture has a big effect on the...

    Peeing

Does this mean that we're more prone to dehydration when riding a recumbent?

    heat

Is it just me, or do others find that they get hotter when riding their V20 than when riding a MTB or road bike?

    Power meter for V20

I really encourage you to ride clipped in ASAP. On your V20 you aren’t standing on your pedals, so it’s really easy for your feet to fly off the pedals. Once you’re clipped in, power meter pedals are a great option. My choice is Assioma Favero, but Garmin has a new design that got pretty good...

    Knee Issues?

I’ve also found that shorter cranks are easier on my knees. But keep in mind that you need a larger cassette with shorter cranks to keep the force required to climb steep hills reasonable.

Electronic Shifting and Replacing Brifters on the v20

It’s possible that blip box + blips + brake levers are less than AXS brifters because the brake levers are cheap. Not sure, though.

    Uphill starts

If the grade is too steep and conditions allow, start perpendicular to the road or on a diagonal, then turn uphill once under way.

Electronic Shifting and Replacing Brifters on the v20

I switched to SRAM Force AXS front and rear. I have have bar-end brake levers and use blips for shifting. Eliminating the brifters improves visibility and is probably a bit more aero.

Compressionless housing from Jagwire - huge difference

Can compressionless cables take a tight bend? I route mine along the drop bars under the tape.

A second V20c build and ride impressions

Is the head tube angle of the V20c more slack than the V20? Looks like it from the first photo.

    Trainers for Cruzbikes

On the road a Cruzbike can have foot steer, more so when pedaling hard. A trainer prevents foot steer (unless you do something really extreme).

    Trainers for Cruzbikes

Nope. The Tacx Neo sits directly on the concrete garage floor.

    Aero Helmet Visors

The fastest I got going at WTTC or Sebring with the Vanquish visor up was 35 mph, so not exactly national speed limit velocity. I've never had one fly off, but I only ride with it up if I must.
