@3bs by “this” do you mean the B&W bike case II or the Term AirPorter?

How does the B&W bike case II compare with the Term AirPorter that the Parkers used for their European tour?

Didn’t get this until too late. We’ll have to try another time.

Googling "trail braking" yields a lot of info about motorcycles and cars, but not much about bicycles. Anyone have a good link to read? @RojoRacing do you use both brakes when trail braking on your V20?

Looking at the video on a real screen, I see that the cyclist you passed actually was standing still (was stopped at the side looking at his phone). There was also another guy off to the side who appeared to be taking a bio break who I didn't even notice when viewing the video on my phone. Must...

I like how you passed that cyclist headed your direction like he was standing still. Why did you edit out the vehicle pass? I feel it’s like Mom and Dad making the kids cover their eyes during the sex scenes. ;-)

    cornering

I took this same corner again yesterday on a club ride. I entered it a little slower this time (20 mph) and stayed back on the seat. And voila, no problems!

Preferred method to transport your Cruzbike?

Thule T2 classic. Sofrider, S30, S40, and V20 all fit on it, two at a time.

I love how fast those turkeys got out of your way! That's some really rough pavement. What tire pressure were you running?

    cornering

OK, no more sitting up in the corners. I've looked at the corner on Google Street View a bunch of times, and the only potential issue I see in the images is that it has longitudinal cracks that have been patched with asphalt. Maybe my tire bounced a little on one of those. As far as braking...

    cornering

I went down on a 90-degree right-hand turn yesterday. I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong, and I'm hoping to get some input from the Tribe. It was a right-hand turn, the road has an old chip-seal surface with no loose gravel, the curve is -4.6% entering, it was sunny and dry, and...

What's wrong with this picture :(

I'll second that. I went down on chip seal yesterday (rear wheel lost traction), and my Thor seat made a terribly loud scraping/scratching sound as I slid to a stop. I figured for sure it was toast. RD hanger is bent. RD cable housing shredded. RD itself is probably not serviceable. The nut on...

@RojoRacing, sorry to get your hopes up. With it just sitting on the trainer I had forgot about those cracks. I'm heading down to the Hellyer velodrome in a few minutes. I'll check in later to see what you decide.

And full disclosure. My was on the S30 when I was run over a couple years ago. It feels structurally sound, but there appear to be a couple of small cracks near the outside edge.

What's wrong with this picture :(

I have two holes for the wings up front, which are probably in the same position on the S30 as on the V20. Then I have two sets of holes that I use farther up the frame to tie wrap the seat around the frame instead of using screws. You could use those, or drill some holes. It's up to you.

If 3bs doesn't have a large sport G, you can use the one that is on my S30.

    6-12-24 WTTC Borrego Springs 2019

Ice socks: . A former colleague who does a lot of endurance racing told me about them. She said wrapping it around the neck so that it cools the carotid artery is most effective. But shoving them inside my jersey is probably easier. I entered the six-hour race, so I don't think freezing is likely.

Thanks for the feedback. It will be helpful for race prep and tactics. One additional question: did you wear ice socks or anything like that to keep cool while racing?

    6-12-24 WTTC Borrego Springs 2019

I've entered the 6-hour sprint, and it appears that @Jeffrey Ritter and Marcel Graber have entered the 12-hour race. Anyone else going? For those who have entered this race in the past or have attended, how is the road surface? I'm thinking of running 25c Schwalbe Pro One tubeless tires. Good...
