The best adjustment of the spyre for me is to eyeball it with a sheet of white paper, and slowly cinch the bolts down. I've had mixed results with the hold-brakes-and-tighten method-- it can still result in misalignments which cause brake shudder. If it works, though, it is reallly convenient :)

Hello out there! I saw another CruzBike this morning on my commute to work. I was on my (S30v2) in the left turn lane opposite the mystery CBiker who was on a Quest and heading straight. So, anyway, hello! Glad to see another CBiker nearby!

I may have a low W/kg, but I regularly hit that (50kph/31mph) on my S30 on my commute most days! Of course, I wouldn't call it "easy", but it is getting easier. I'll bet the V would be even easier! Of course, it takes me *forever* to actually get to that speed!!

Don't ride in the wet with that, if you want to drink from your water bottle! The behind the headrest may feel weird, but it points the drinking-ends away from the muck-flinging-device (wheel). If you don't ride when the pavement is wet, this doesn't matter, of course.
