    The last V2k

Sounds like a good plan all around to me. One upgrade possibility: with a chain tensioner, you can add a double (or even triple) crank upfront. A really write double means you've got a setting for climbing up mountains and another for screaming down them.

    Quest 451 to 507

I run Kojaks on both my Sofrider and Mantis. I like them a lot.

    Triple crankset on QX100

I do think the upright angle helps, but I've had my seat angle well below 45 degrees able to ride under 3 mph. I rode a Silvio v2 a couple hundred feet, so I can't tell if the fast bikes are less stable than my Sofrider or Cruzigami.

    Best rain jacket under $200?

I've got a cheap pair of frog toggs set ($20) that I finally wore out. They are somewhat breathable and do a pretty good job at keeping me dry. But the Syu I have don't have elastic at the bottom of the jacket or pants.

Which size did you order? Is this the one?

    Robert's V20 build

At 3.7 lbs, the motivation for a lighter frame is clearly small (as it can only save, at most 3.7 lbs. :) ). But well designed carbon frames are both lighter and stronger than aluminum (and I don't see any reason why this wouldn't be the case here). Carbon frames fail. So do aluminum frames...

    trekking bars

That's fairly close to my setup with the mustache bars. Very nice.

    trekking bars

I use Mustache bars on my Cruzigami where you can use integrated trigger shifters/brakes (for Shimano at least). I think the trekking bars would be too bulky, but I've been wrong a lot in the past, so...

    First ride

Just to continue with the good advice above: 1) When learning to ride a Cruzbike, just ride the Cruzbike (if possible). This will speed up learning. 2) I completely agree with clipping in and waiting to clip in. When learning, the biggest piece of advice is to take your feet off of the...

    New owner from Chicago

Welcome! I was going to ask ask well (I'm from Highland Park where my parents still live and last lived in Villa Park). Oh yeah, now to business. Some forum rules: Post pictures of new bike, or it never happened! :D

    Anyone tried revolights?

I think they're an interesting idea and if you do go try them, please do let us know.

    Happy New Year-2016!

I don't mind riding my Cruzbikes in traffic. But folding them up quickly and getting them up and down stairs on and off the train isn't easy. I'm also not sure I'd want to ride a Cruzbike when you need studded tires (but maybe that would be fine...).

    Happy New Year-2016!

I haven't had as much chance to ride it recently as I like. I got in four decent rides Christmas when I got off of work which was very nice. (Otherwise I ride an upright folder to/from the train station.)

    Triple crankset on QX100

I seem to be in the minority here, but both of my Cruzbikes go down to 17" (or less) and I use that gear a lot. It helps that I can ride at less than 3 mph and not fall over.

    Triple crankset on QX100

    I used a 123mm bottom bracket.
