Awesome! Welcome Les!
My route this week around that construction has been on the roads.
Wouldn't be so bad except the road is really bumpy and no shoulder.
I should stay on the trails and meet other Cruzbike instead!!
Congrats Layne! Quite the story.
Do to think that hearing "they are hard to ride" is what kept you from going with the Cruzbike in the first place? Or was it more complicated than that?
Stop reading?! No way.
Always good to celebrate milestones on the world stage or the personal one.
Everyone of th high-mileage/racer types ride their first century someday too! It's worthwhile to be reminded of the exhiliration - even if it's by proxy!
Congratulations!
The rice might have worked - but I might have horked things up because we didn't have rice all day so I rotated the thing in the window on the way home.
then put it in the rice for two days.
I probably should have just tried it right off but I have tools for taking apart the phone - I wanted to...
Yep - I think that would be great.
Tim and I actually have done it as two bents off the front followed by that strong cat3 racer who knows how to "gatekeep" - allowing us to easily swap back and forth off the front and keeping the rest of the peleton behind him.
Turned in a serious descent KOM...
GREAT question.
Answer, I think...it depends.
I've ridden with groups of DF's that can't stand having me around "because of the different performance characteristics messing up their paceline".
In that situation - I took that to mean - they didn't like the fact that I'd just ride away from them...
Oh she's paying for 1/3rd of it in installments - but I fronted the cash. :)
In this case I just don't know who the bike would be for - I suppose I *could* worry about that later - that and paying the mortgage.
I got hold of Ben via FBook.
It's a good deal - and yet I just can't pull the trigger because...well for one thing Abby dropped her phone in the toilet at the last minute at the retreate - and now she has a *NEW* one. ;)
But that's a different thread.
contacted the seller - @tomblin lives like 15 min from Sanford methinks! Hey Ben - wanna ship my brother a bike?
thanks @Zzzorse - your script is amazing
Hmmm - $40-$50 bucks for that isn't worth it to me I guess.
I expect the rain/dirt/grime to wipe it out pretty quickly.
I didn't know sealed cable stops existed...If I do anything I'll probably head that direction.
OR - change over to MTB derailer setup.
oh hell - I just remembered something...Elliot's pedals.
Ergon PC2 (PC2L)
They don't look like much on the site (https://goo.gl/OBuwYf) but in person they are amazing in their simplicity.
Elliot rode those up from CA with his moccasins! (who makes those shoes @marshall2389 ?)
BEST platforms ever.
Thanks for going to all this effort @ratz - Abby was loving these bikes and the 26" QX-100 so much.
I hadn't anticipated the need/desire to ride another bike but the option sure was amazing.

My Silvio 1.0 has the loop - and will continue to do so for quite some time now.
I blame that loop for shortening the life of my shifter cable due to water and grit accumulating in the bottom of the loop.
Sign me up for a Rojomajig.
