    New Vendetta V20

I tried that one side using my Wheelbuilder cover to see if I could do it (Tim Turner suggestion...again) but it wasn't a good fit. I'm going to post my DIY method now on a separate thread.

    Drivetrain suggestions?

After all this talk about cranks down in the 160's and even 150's on ya'll that are around 5'7" I wonder if Maria might chime in here and explain just how it is that she rides a 172.5 crank? You are like 5'2" on the first stair... Have you even tried the shorter cranks?

First Silvio ride was a wash...literally

Robert, there is only one LBS that I know of that can test ride my cruzbike, and its 200 miles away - in Portland. When I was having my LBS tune my bike the first couple years, we had an arrangement. They twiddle the screws and I'll twiddle the pedals. :)

Paris or bust ... probably bust

On a real heavy sprint, try locking your elbows. It really stiffens things up. Then as you progress you won't need to do that except in the heaviest of exertions (all out full power race-like). Perhaps the first time, don't lock them solid, just real stiff until you get the feel.

    Bike Parking at the office

Front wheel drive, cruzbike conversion, fatbike, single speed with a coaster brake. Start small and bring it to shows...Robert.

    New Vendetta V20

Davidch, I have a cover on the front because they are easier to come by-since they are usually on the back of the old fashioned bikes (OFB). Getting a cover for a non-drive wheel proved just a bit more effort. Bob has a line on a company that will make one custom for you. I looked it up...

    Bike Parking at the office

Yeah - we just leave it at the office and grab it whenever we want it...not in real high demand these days. If it would have snowed this year we may have been queued up for a ride tho. :) It's a Walmart BSO (Bike Shaped Object) - one guy took it apart and re-built it when we got it (put in...

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Can I just derail this thread once more and say how pumped I am that Duncan is looking into Cruzbike and Abbott has his in da house and Troy in Edmonds has a Silvio S30 (haven't met you yet Troy) - we ALMOST have a quorum right here in lil' 'ol Seattle! :) I see...a...Cruzbike...rally...in my...

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

eeew, if I said race fenders with 28mm tires somewhere then it needs to be deleted as misinformation. :) I run 23mm tires on everything and I'm just now getting into the whole "wide rim" deal with a drive wheel Stans Alpha 340. Most of my wheelsets before this have been Craigslist take-offs or...

    Bike Parking at the office

On a Strava post Rick commented on the FAT bike I have. I actually own 1/10th ($20...yes twenty) of it and it's parked here at work. That made me think about our indoor bike parking - which I arranged with Management about 8 yrs ago - there was NO WAY I was locking my brand new Silvio up on the...

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Good point Ratz - with "standard" wheelbases the world of bike racks opens up immensely. Far more transportable when compared to velo's and trikes etc...which is what Duncan is after methinks - they just take a bit more work to accommodate. I recently got a SMOKING! deal on a Thule T2 rack...
