    Silvio S30 - chainstay extension?

Kline, Perhaps an unfortunate choice of words. I mean that I like to run them flat, without the brifters sticking up in the wind. Like this: I started that with my Silvio - but I found drop bars that were pretty "straight" in the drop. Like this. I SERIOUSLY need to spend just a little bit...

    Power meter for Vendetta

That could be a key difference then - I'm only at about 2.5K on Qrings. :)

I'll be sure to take some pictures of him riding - and post them for Charles. :)

    Power meter for Vendetta

Seriously can't keep up with y'all. :) Rick, you said - I don't find this to be the case. The Vendetta (172.5mm crank) has QRings The Silvio (165mm crank) has Round If anything - the QRings still have a bump in them now & again. The round ones never. Could just be different strokes/folks...

And you didn't even need a test ride eh?!

    Down Hill Form

Duncan, that sounds nearly precisely what I do every commute. It makes for a VERY cold first 10 minutes in the winter. :)

    seat pad question

Good question, don't know the model. Robert (or Bob) probably knows. it's very firm; I wouldn't call it soft at all.

    Who wants a half-bike?

I agree BUT...they aren't (still) easy to ride. (I watched an athletic type try to ride it and fail) the cost/benefit is crazy when compared to say...a simple scooter. In america, for short distances like you describe, they are too fast for sidewalks and too slow for the street (and there aren't...

    seat pad question

I have Zotefoam pad on my Silvio. It's pretty good - better IMO than the stock foam. It's firmer. But because of my more upright position it's also a little harder on the compression of glutes - recumbutt after maybe 70 miles *may* occur. On the Vendetta - more laid back like yours pictured - I...

    Who wants a half-bike?

there's a guy roaming around Seattle on one of these http://solowheel.com/ I filmed him once from my Vendetta carrying his takeout home. :) They are cool I suppose but with specs like this: The Classic Speed - Up to 10 mph / 16 kph Range - Approx. 10 miles / 16 km Weight - 24 lbs / 11 kg and...

    V20 rim and tire options?

Bob, this isn't a good tool bag? http://cruzbike.com/norback-frame-pack Or the little ToPeak ones that fit nicely in the rear triangle on the Vendetta 2.0

Do It Yourself (DIY) cover for Non-Drive wheel

I recall that material from a couple yrs back when I considered this DIY then. In the interim I discovered this plastic / taped idea and preferred it for ease. Good option though for a host of reasons.

    Silvio S30 - chainstay extension?

I have a straight reach on Vendetta 2.0 using Gary bars curved backwards for aero benefits. But the inside of my elbows hurts after about 70 miles. Could be the reach. Could be the curved part of the bar. I don't think you can go wrong with slightly bent elbows for distance ride. Plus, that...

    Thanks Lucia!

Larry, I can probably take this one. XenForo community forum says "nope" on Excel spreadsheets. https://xenforo.com/community/threads/adding-an-excel-table-to-a-post.90348/#post-878001 But...they address a way to show tables using Google Sheets to make table BB code...

More fun with wheels -Aero style

(I've never ridden Contis.) On my commuter I've had great luck with Schwalbe Durano plus. My goal there is no flats with *some* speed. On the race bike (roads) I'm going with Schwalbe Ones. Much faster, high pressure, good road feel, and amazing resistance to cuts and flats. If I ever get...

Do It Yourself (DIY) cover for Non-Drive wheel

one more thing - to save you time pre-measuring. You pretty much can't go wrong with a 24" diameter circle on a 700c wheel. Mine has HARDLY any rim beyond the braking surface (Rolf Siestre). 24 x 48 appears to be a common enough size and that is enough material for these or probably ANY...

Do It Yourself (DIY) cover for Non-Drive wheel

Getting a cover for a non-drive wheel can be tricky. It's usually the front wheel for old fashioned bikes (OFB) and perhaps for liability reasons (or because most folks don't want to hurt themselves in the wind) there isn't much of a market. Ratz and Larry pointed out a couple of options here...
