    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Pretty clever. The price point is a little vague though...it says $199 on kickstarter for one unit, and estimates that price as about 60% of eventual retail. So for two units (front and rear derailleurs) the total would be closing in on $700 for retail. At that price I'd be more prone to save a...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

That looks good. I had thought about doing that at one point but had not considered double sided tape. You obviously found some monster sticky stuff! I wasn't sure about attaching the adem to the carbon seat w screws, if there was enough room etc. plus i like using the headrest frame to mount...

Finally got me a vendetta !!

Still gotta love RideSouth, one of the best recumbent shops in the country, in little old Flowood Mississippi, gotta love Jim and Lane Snider, I still send people there on a regular basis, but I'm also still trying to make headway on eliminating their anti-Cruzbike bias! Vendetta V20 Build diary 2016

Yikes. Still gives me the willies to think about cutting the boom. Too much potential for someone like me to screw up.

    Vendetta V20 Build diary 2016

You can drill out the braze-ons instead of cutting your boom. Braze ons can be replaced.

    Falling over

What everybody else said, plus...change to Speedplay Frogs. 'Hacked' or 'unhacked', you can clip out in a nanosecond, but stay securely clipped in until you want out.

Couch to Century in 12 Weeks: Week 12

15th annual Cyclists Curing Cancer ride today down the beautiful Natchez Trace. Over 350 riders, the largest field to date. Stayed away from pacelines since I wanted to compare to my solo century results from 2 weeks ago. Huge improvement--an entire 0.5mph faster! :p Well hey, 0.5 faster every...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

It's a lot easier to get a new chain clean, so now i clean new chains before using, and wax them. Used ones just need a little more work. I use the ultrasonic on the new ones to get started but still follow all the cleaning steps on the Molten Speed Wax website. The first cleaning of any chain...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

(This may belong in another thread??) Here is this chain at 700+ miles since waxing. There is road grime there but no grease: Wipe once w paper towel--road dirt shows, but again, not greasy and wipes off hands easily and completely: This is after backpedaling while holding paper towel...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

When i get home I'll take an unaltered close up of my chain, which currently has over 700 miles on it since the last waxing. I won't cheat and wipe it down first, either ;) It's overdue for rewaxing, and my plan was(and still is) to put the 'spare' already waxed chain on for tomorrow's century...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Yet another reason to wax--no chain grease on your hands goes with anything;)
