    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

Right you are, 130BCD, 53T, long story. Plan to change to compact QXL in the spring. I will never understand these things! (Yes that is the dead spot) Will do, and see how it feels. That is my ultimate goal. Thanks for once again reviewing my setup!

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

Dave, a few years ago I bought some Rotor cranks, 170mm. I am using 145mm cranks currently. The Rotor chainring bolts came with the cranks.

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Actually did this about 3 weeks ago. Needed new chain so it seemed a good time to stop the 'round rings trial' (at just over 1100 miles) and start the 'aero q rings trial'. As before when mounting q rings, I hope it's right. Plan was to mount them for quicker acceleration and spinning rather...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Just tweaking a little: Before-- After-- Moving the lower cage forward made those bottles very easy to reach with either hand. So much easier that when I'm out of fluid in the outer bottles, I'll switch the full ones mounted to the seat itself with the empty outer ones. Using the...

    Personal Soundtrack

Uphill: 'It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll' AC/DC  Downhill: I don't have to sing anything. I just listen to my freewheel ;)

Your Max Speed on a Cruzbike

Fastest downhill speed on Vendetta....I'm always too scared to look! Guess I need a newer Garmin that records fastest speed on any given ride

Initial impressions of Silvio 1.0 vs 2.0

26degrees on my (now sold) Bachetta CA2.0, 20degrees on the Vendetta. I could never keep up with my DF friends uphill on the Bachetta; now when riding with the same group, being dropped on climbs is a thing of the past. Not so on my hot-rodded Sofrider, even though I'm faster on it on uphills...

    Getting Off the Fence

My two cents worth-- if the new S30 (no front suspension, 33deg recline) had been available last August when I ordered the Vendetta, I'd have bought the S30. The current S30 was exactly what I was looking for at that time. But if that had happened, I wouldn't have known what I was missing on...

I got it used, frameset only, from a gal in Virginia. I think she was the original owner but not positive about that.

Great write-up and great pics of your son on the Quest and you on the Silvio! Love the Yazoo River in the background. For the non-Mississipians--The Yazoo is formed by the confluence of the Yalobusha and the Tallahatchie just north of the spot you see in @castlerobber's photo; for those old...

    Riding with DF groups

Well I'm still new to riding in any sort of group let alone a paceline. The folks I've been lucky enough to fall in with are a convivial bunch of several dozen mostly DF riders of varying abilities. I say mostly DF riders since there are several 'bent riders who preceded me, including our own...
