    Metric vs imperial measurers

well when people list their weight in kilos i have a pretty good idea what that means. but if they say 'i'm 178cm' i'm like......'whaaa??!!' just say 5foot 10 already:) plus the old Wings song (Band on the Run) would sound pretty silly if instead of '....all i need is a pint a day....'...

Farther, Faster, Fitter, Fun - (4F - The unofficial Cruzbike training team and support group)

Glad to hear others are doing it. Seems well laid out for those of us without indoor trainer etc etc., just needed a plan! Have started at week 6.

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

Hmm just now reading this thread, somehow missed it before. Agree with all that's been said about avoiding the 'death grip', avoiding having your wrist tipped towards your pinky too much, etc. Also to consider: tennis elbow/lateral epicondylitis is an overuse injury brought about by...

    I cut the boom

The slider is the part the handlebars attach to. The boom is the other part. Pedantic I know. The bar ends are forward of the handlebar flats (same position as the rider end of the slider) for my preference, for the same reason they're forward of the flats on bikes where they handle bars are...

    I cut the boom

Hey, I like that! Not as well as this: But I like it. 2 questions-- does that orientation of the Crononero bar make it hard to get your arms as straight as you'd like without interfering with leg clearance? What brake levers are you using? KM

    Silvio S 30 Thailand

Also being old enough to have used the leather straps and toe clips, if I still had some I'd offer them to you absolutely free ;)

    Silvio S 30 Thailand

To echo and agree with others on the forum, Speedplay Frogs are VERY easy to unclip from, especially when reacting to an unexpected event. Yet, there is no tendency to experience an unintentional, unwanted unclip; they are very secure in use, very easy to get out of when desired.

    Cruzbike model names

Re the Silvio name...i read on the 'old' forum that it was an acronym: Speed Is Lovely, Velocity Is Orgasmic Probably an apocryphal account o_O

Stock V20 bar available in different widths?

Alternative to cutting the boom: I was leery of cutting the boom so instead I drilled out the threaded inserts for the cage mount on the boom; easy to adjust the boom/slider now. Of course I lost the option for a braze on(?) cage but I was and still am ok with that. Maybe the extra weight on the...

(Not quite) 100 Miles of Mayhem

Indeed it was, very nice. Good weather, good folks, good route, although like castletobber said, there were a few sections that were rough on a recumbent. I was wishing for my Sofrider on those, but oh so happy on the Vendetta everywhere else. Only saw one other 2 wheeled 'bent, a Rans Rifle...

Spring Time - Learning To Ride Time

Another key to me is having cleats/pedals that are as fast and natural to come out of as platform pedals. Tuesday I was on an unfamiliar street and went into a corner at a reasonable speed and hit a medium sinkhole...I somehow didn't see it.....medium but big enough to bounce me up and off...

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

off topic. sorry  looking at David's big yellow boom and chain stay in the pic above compels me to say that while i love my Black Vendetta, and realize the V20 incorporates significant improvements over V1.0 and V1.5, i am still of the firm opinion that for sheer good looks, Old Yeller...

Farther, Faster, Fitter, Fun - (4F - The unofficial Cruzbike training team and support group)

Sounds like something I would love to do, but am a little confused af the moment. Is this something that we'll need an indoor trainer for right away, and need to train indoors during the summer riding season?

Thanks, David. Where did you find that tube? Is it a Presta or Schrader valve? Do you find it to make your neck sweatier? Is that the 'sock' that comes w the bike? Sorry for so many questions. I'm pretty happy w my neck rest at present but always on the lookout for a better solution! Thanks
