Shortened cranks are better for bad knees. I run 150mm cranks on my Silvio. The shortened knee bend is much better on my bad knees.

I second leaning forward. I think it makes balancing easier. It puts more weight over the front wheel. I think I react quicker when I lean forward to check traffic at a intersection.

Getting my s30 ready for the Hub City ride in Elizabethtown, KY on Sat. It is all clean and tuned up. This will be the first test of the newly installed Salsa Woodchipper bars. I will be riding with an Encore and 2 uprights. It will be fun.
