From my understanding, quite a lot of roads have many pot holes and with a very cold expected winter , there will be even more holes in 2025. So be careful.

    145 mm cranks

The surprising thing for me, with smaller cranks , I've gone for smaller chain rings and faster cadence. Noticeably I prefer circular chainrings over ovals because the v20 feels smoother. There isn't much in it... my best speeds I have nearly beaten were on 165mm cranks but that hurt my knees...

    descending fear

I found that to make sure your wheels are balanced properly helps and that a circular chainring doesn't influence the balance when putting on power. I found oval chainrings were better for acceleration with bigger cranks but now I have small cranks 150mm then I prefer smaller round chainrings

What Is The Reason for the Aluminum Element in V20 Frame?

"Absorb the road noise"... interesting concept... I will have to try one now

I don't think they are breaking records as they are on the old v20s. I guess you could call it an epic life experience. Not many can say they rode the whole of Sweden after recovering from such a condition. I think its absolutely epic!

My Very First Recumbent is a V20

What you need is a Chaleco refrigerante! Just put it on back to front and get someone to zip you up like a straight jacket. I guess there must be something like this for recumbents. If I don't get on the bike by 8am I fry so I know the feeling.

I took a look at previous years. If you go hell for leather with little sleep , you will find a lot of garages shut so stock up with nuts. Sleeping on a hard surface for a couple of hours a night doesn't seem that enjoyable. I guess it depends if you want to set a record. Enjoy the Reindeers

800-900 miles a week! Might you have overdone your training programme? I can't even get my head around it. Gale must be able to get a sleep in and hand you a new set of bottles for breakfast

Oh gosh... it looks epic. I will support you from Spain. Maybe Larry, you can give us a run down on your bike setup. Amazing cda with all those bags. Clearly a very cleverly designed bike

Well it doesn't seem any worse and I am further away from the bars or is it because the workaholic fat is falling off? Probably a bit of both. I can't work when the temperature goes over 30 so because the summer is 4 months long, I get a chance to get very fit. Let's see if I can put another...

I am 63 and my knees are delicate, probably because I am flatfooted, I know for sure that from 165mm to 155mm there was a drastic improvement. If I want to , I can cycle every day. Its a no brainer. I don't fancy double knee replacements at 70 so I think it's an aero update that you will have...

V20 front tire suddenly lost pressure and I crashed.

Ditto the Larry suggestion. Some sealant is better than others. Always replace your sealant every six months. I have found the standard orange sealant is best. If you get a continental tubeless tyre it will probably be a pig to put on but its also a pig to come off. I have a tubeless front and...

I had a tinker tonight. The surface of the foam rubber that I have on the carbon seat has friction abraising so I removed maybe 8mm of hard foam from the lumbar area. I am hoping for a ride tomorrow. I don't know why I never thought of it before. Maybe I have a better understanding of what's...

Hi, I noticed over a long period of time that after riding my V20 for many months that my shorts are wearing out at the small of my back; lumbar region. First of all does this show that I have a correct resting posture on the seat? I am not using the Thor seat, just the standard carbon seat that...

Well , if you are bike packing I would suggest a smaller chainring.

That's very interesting as GearCalculator doesn't even give you the option of 145 cranks! I also suffer terribly with yo yo weight. In the winter I gain a few kilos and I have to do zone 2 for a couple of months before my body calibrates to known and loved gear ratios in order to get up long...
