    Record for V20C to take.

Well I think the last time gcn attempted that, I think they waited for the wind to be in their favor.

My Very First Recumbent is a V20

Why not just try and replace the battery in the bolt.... it could be an interesting thing to watch on YouTube.

V20c tire clearance and wheel sizes

Well, it seems the pros have a thinner tyre up front so why not on a vendetta.

2022 Vendetta V20c with carbon fiber front end

If you have short cranks 255mm or under, oval looses the benefit, you would be better off with the clasic ring. I don't like mashing the pedals, I prefer the pedalling stroke to be in unity.

Bike Fit for Power and Muscle Engagement

It all depends what you want... max power or max aero. With the vendetta they are mutually exclusive. I've gone for more aero than power so then I don't have to grunt so much. I find myself hovering about the 50kph speed so aero savings are considerable.

    Helmets

That could work well with a balaclava. It's called a moon professional snowboarding helmet

    Helmets

Arf Arf Arf.... goes with Gath. I used a Gath windsurfing helmet with flip down visor back in the days when I did 50 knots. They are a hoot. Try one of those before you end up buying the wrong thing.

    Why drop bars?

Emmm it's usually a tradeoff but I get sick of having my hands in one position for hours so I go for carbon drop bars. I like carbon for the smoothness and feel over aluminium. If you just want for racing then aero tt bars but I find that a little limiting.

Is a V20c suitable for my planned use?

Hey congrats, v20 is a great bike. I have tinkered with it every year. It's a bicycle that I respect. Every time I get on it... I will just have an easy ride, the adrenalin kicks in and you have a lifetime experience in one ride. It's an incredible machine.

    Tubes or tubeless

I put a tubular tyre on the back... its going to be monokoted so it's good because it keeps the tire pressure consistent. The valve is adaptive so I could put sealant in it but running without for the moment.

New Guy - lots of questions

If you want even bigger tyres just put a smaller wheel on. (650b perhaps ?)

    My Beloved S30 was Stolen!

Very sorry about your loss. Its a pretty unique bike. Pretty sure some of the members will keep their eyes peeled on the Web. Does it have any unique features? Wheels and groupset and color

New Guy - lots of questions

Probably best you go for a medium chainstay for the hills and for manuovering. I have a long chainstay that's not doing much but that's great for going on the flats.

New Guy - lots of questions

General rule... stick to figure eights and go slow and work on your balance. I would almost say its impossible for you to fall over your bars on a bent. Many of us have disc brakes on the front and we use them well. There was one member here who goes down his local mountain so fast that his bike...

Blue Streak TT - MJ sets fastest ever recumbent time last night on his V20

I wish there wasn't such a sigma attached to Bents, you just don't see many younger riders on them. Probably due to UCI marketing and promo rules. Anyways... that was a major achievement for mj and the team.

My Very First Recumbent is a V20

Can't you lower your cda by riding one handed? LOL (it kind of takes the matter out of your hands)

Monokote on a high vented helmet anyone?... you can pay some high prices indeed for a helmet

    Pedaling efficiency and foot position

I think it might be more important what the foot is doing at 3 o'clock. Is it fully extended or else? Probably depends on the size of the crank
