How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

12 mile ride in a brisk wind yesterday. Both the Monokote and window film held up. With the front wheels covered, I did need to steer into the wind some with a direct crosswind. The window film is much easier to melt when installing, which resulted in ripping it all off on one side and...

How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

Correct. I only used rubber cement because it was used in the video. The super glue trick worked. I did an 80 mile out and return yesterday. The covers stayed tight. The only problem was that a rock went through one side of the cover and got stuck in between the covers. Fortunately, holes...

How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

Any one tried a drum brake on the back wheel of a Cruzbike?

How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

Got up this morning and found that my nice new wheel covers were not as tight as yesterday. Maybe due to temperature drop from 90's to 60's? Hit it with the heat gun, and looking good. Went on 12 mile ride, hit 38 mph (yes, that was downhill), no problems. Got back, and noticed that is was...

How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

Thanks! After doing one side, I realized gluing to the rim with the rubber cement was not the best route. On the other side, I put a thin film on the rim, let it dry, then put the Monokote on. The Monokote would stick to the dried rubber cement like a "Post It". That allowed me to line it up...

How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

Wish I had seen this thread earlier. Bought Monokote and a trammel set to make wheel covers for the last Cruzbike challenge, and never got around to making them. Nope, just found out that the Monokote did not stick to the rim. I cut the covers out to be about 0.5 mm radius less than the rim...

    Getting Off the Fence

Dry pavement, a hill, and a Vendetta V20. What more can one ask for? Oh, wait. I am still on the Windcheetah. Must be having a "V" dream. Maybe I will be ready for next season - sigh.

Has anyone changed the cassette to increase gear range?

Running 30/46 and 11/32 x11 with Di 2 on a V20. No place for me to go when leaving the house except up. From past experience, I found that I rarely used the 52 on the flats, and going down hill the V20 is scary fast, no need to pedal.

    Getting Off the Fence

Yup, that might could be. But it gave me the motivation to push harder, and is far more interesting than staring at a blank wall for an hour. One more month of crappy weather....

    Getting Off the Fence

Trying to stay motivated in the winter by doing the Kinomap Alltricks challenge, which consists of 16 rides to be completed from Jan 24 through 14 Feb. Unfortunately, I did not find out about it until after yesterday's ride, which was particularly hard. I went for it today anyway. Today's...

    Smart trainers and the V20

Have been using a Wahoo Kickr Snap (wheel on type) with a V20 with caliper brakes regularly since March 2019. Hopefully, I will be able get back on the road with the V20 this summer, to compare with my performance on the trike.

    Getting Off the Fence

So all you folks who extol the virtues of chain waxing are right. After my first time chain waxing, it is quieter and has smoother shifts. Now, the big question for me is, will this stop the metal specs that have been gathering on my bottom bracket, chain stay, and crank arms? As soon as I...

    Getting Off the Fence

This is a relatively new install, and I really do not know much about the shooting aspects. I only use it for indoor cycling. Beats riding in the rain. I went through the menu and chose a few scenarios. This was "filmed" using an iPhone SE sitting on a bench while I stood off to the side...

    Getting Off the Fence

So here is the set up: This is actually a "Smokeless Range". My wife took up target shooting about 2 years ago. With the turbulence in the country, ammo has been difficult to acquire, and has gotten to be expensive. She burns up a couple hundred rounds every weekend she goes to the...
