    Parking Brake

Brazing Brazing is like soldering, using brass rod instead of lead or tin. It is done at higher temps, normally with an oxy/acetylene torch, as brass has a higher melt point. Very strong method of joining metals. Not as strong as welding, but still good. In a former life I used to braze...

Speedone FS Mini Velo Suspension Folding Frame Set 20"/406

Does anyone else see what I see? There has been a lot of discussion lately about a children's model. Is it just me, or does anyone else see this as a possible step in that direction?

How big (diameter) are the two bolts that hold the two seat pieces together?

Metric bolts & nuts If you have a Lowe's or Home Depot near you they should have the M6 you are looking for in their hardware section, normally in the metal cabinets with drawers.

First Ride on Silvio since Aug 16th Crash

Carpet pad? I have seen others use carpet pad as an addition to seat foam, though not on bikes. Cheap in cost, thin enough to be able to build up to suit specific needs, and durable. I wonder how it would work here? Just a thought...

Help ! Having multiple flats on my Cruzbike Aero 67s wheelset - very frustrating !!!

Duct tape If one was to try duct tape, I would suggest inflating the tube first as much as possible. Once the tape covers the puncture, heat it-with a lighter, match, or similar. Duct tape adhesive seals better and forms a more permanent bond when heat is applied. Better quality tape has better...

How to use the map page to find others in your local area

Is this for owners only? There are three pins in Pinellas County, Florida. Only one shows a bike listed. I do not show up at all. Do I need to "opt in" or something to show up with a pin?

Silvio Headrest, nice, comfy & cheap

Perhaps worth trying? For foam use I have heard of people buying carpet padding & gluing up the thickness they needed. Fairly firm foam, and cheap. Just an idea.

    Nice pannier/pack for Quest

John, I didn't think it was John, I didn't think it was criticism. When I first looked at the pic it didn't make sense because it appeared as though the bracket attached to the frame, across the suspension. Just didn't want anyone else to make the same error in judgment. That's all. And I see...

    Nice pannier/pack for Quest

Unless I am missing Unless I am missing something, kling's support strap as depicted above, does not disable or in any way interfere with the rear suspension. Everything is connected to the swingarm, as it should be. Actually, it appears to be a great solution!

Getting Competitive and Setting More Records with the Vendetta and the Silvio

Patience, my friend... Give Dan some time to evaluate and crunch the numbers. IIRC he has not had his Cruzbikes for all that long. And he seems like the kind of person that does not make decisions (or recommendations, or give advice) without due diligence being done. Patience, grasshopper...

Using Chrome on a machine running XP/SP3. Never had this happen on the old forum or site login unless I entered...

    Cool design

Is it just me or does this look like a center ring circus attraction? Why would I think that? I'm not an engineer and I see all kinds of issues...but it might would win some sort of design award in a school. Unless part of the criteria is practicality/reality of construction, in which...

    Possible donor?

I saw this http://www.amazon.com/Schwinn-Coronado-Womens-Comfort-26-Inch/dp/B0021I150I last night in my local BJ's Wholesale warehouse for about $150. What does the "collective" think about it as a possible kit donor bike? I do realize it's a hardtail...
