Climbing and bb height, low gears

I ran Schwalbe Ones on my tour, and spun out on 12-14% wet asphalt. I chose tubeless specifically so I could run lower pressures and get a larger contact patch in the wet. I suspect it really helped-- when I was running my other tires (unfortunately not Marathons), I was losing traction at about...

Anyone planning on trying the M5 two-spoke wheels?

Well at least they're inducing some kind of rolling!

    And this video, I guess!

    New S30 pictures?

The revision to the Silvio S30's frame (e.g. triangular hole, weep hole, different base-plate) is, I think, very well done. It is a beauty that really deserves a photoshoot instead of just one image! Are there plans for that yet?

    QX100 Steering Mod

Did you consider using part of an adjustable stem as the bracket for the boom? (I imagine you're done experimenting by now? :) ) The Ritchey ones, in particular have the female (i.e. two tabs with hole in middle) part on the piece which could hold the boom and screw into the CB mount. I wonder...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

I hope they make a wired version, and provide for a central battery option. I don't mind the wires (at least for shifting). I hate it when things don't work as expected, which seems to happen more often the more batteries are involved, or when wireless pairing is involved.

    Little tweaks

Oof! I did the exact same thing on my Silvio two years ago. I was amazed at the tiny amount of overall damage to me and the bike! Following with interest!

S30 buildup with Volae Comfort Carbon L seat.

For those curious about the pellets, this is a pretty short video (which matches my experience):

S30 buildup with Volae Comfort Carbon L seat.

The pellets are super easy to work with-- I heat some water (stove/microwave), then pour that warm water onto the pellets in a bowl. They melt at 140 degrees-f, so you don't need boiling water. The pellets are all melted when they're transparent. Then you pour off the water in the bowl, grab the...

    New and Improved Headrest Clamp

Nice! I wouldn't mind getting two of those too! ;) If Maria and Jim don't decide to do this, hopefully they'll consider at least shipping with some modded screws (I got frustrated with this for my bikes and got some longer bolts which I modified to make a 30 minute long process of getting the...

S30 buildup with Volae Comfort Carbon L seat.

Oh, it is also worth mentioning that there are two obvious angles one can mount these seats. One is as pictured (upright/about the same as the stock seat, but with more support), and the other is more reclined (almost to Vendetta levels of recline). I've never ridden with the more-reclined...

S30 buildup with Volae Comfort Carbon L seat.

It depends-- the Comfort Carbon XL (which, being a tad taller than my dad, is what I use on mine) is long enough that you can use the standard CruzBike headrest, should you choose. The Comfort Carbon L rises a bit before second scissor-clamp hole. It is probably more true to say that the...

S30 buildup with Volae Comfort Carbon L seat.

This one was for my dad for Christmas during Christmas vacation with the family at their place. I'm getting most of one for the trike project (don't really need the rear triangle for my project), so I can ride the one I have instead of letting it sit in the garage as a prototype all the time :)
