Skyline Drive (Shenandoah NP, VA), on a road bike

I probably shouldn't (a) encourage you or (b) go off topic on an off topic thread, but... This is exactly how I felt once I started clipping in when riding my Sofrider. I had never used clipless pedals before my Sofrider (had always used toe clips). "What is the sound of one hand clapping...

Skyline Drive (Shenandoah NP, VA), on a road bike

(Sorry Sam) I kinda like crush. I think there would be general agreement if we used craze (since they think we're all nuts anyway). And there's something very pleasing about crescendo.

Skyline Drive (Shenandoah NP, VA), on a road bike

Crop and crowd are the only container words that I found (so far) that starts with CR. "A crop of Cruzbikers" doesn't sound too bad. :D

    QX100 arrived

You can lower the clamp on the too-tall stem without cutting it. I'd recommend doing this anyway before cutting it to make sure you know exactly where to cut. (So both bikes can be used at the same time.)

    Experiences Silvio S30 installed a Schlumpf SD/HSD & Rohloff hub ?

No, it'x exactly the right thing to ask for. I just don't think it's reasonable to expect it. :D Chris Blessing has a Nuvinci 360 mated with a mountain drive. This means he gets great range, infinitely variable transmission (and I think it's pretty durable). Light and inexpensive aren't good...

    Experiences Silvio S30 installed a Schlumpf SD/HSD & Rohloff hub ?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who led you astray... :D I can ride my two Cruzbikes at speeds of about half that. I find (particularly when towing a trail-a-bike but even when climbing by myself) on very steep hills (sometimes > 15% or even ~20% for very short periods of time) that I could...

    Experiences Silvio S30 installed a Schlumpf SD/HSD & Rohloff hub ?

For the record, this is why I don't understand why people poo-poo triples. You can get your nice tight cassette and still have the range. Oh well... :)

    TTrike!!!!

I miss the simplicity of the other design. But I believe you're right. The new device (and with the needed tilt-lock) should be a lot easier to market. Indeed, this could transform the go-fast trike market. Well done, Cruzbike. :)

    Looking for advice...

Because my bike mechanic (me) is sometimes an idiot, I was about 1/2 a mile from home when my left pedal came off. Because I was clipped in, my pedal was just attached to my shoe I didn't bother stopping and I just pedaled home with my right leg. So, yes, you can pedal with one leg. In your...

Wider tires for the fall / winter?

(It is worth noting that not all 28mm tires are the same size. Like Telephd, please comment on brand as well as size. :D )

Wider tires for the fall / winter?

I don't think anybody ever has gotten anything bigger than 28mm to fit on any Silvio/Vendetta. And even some wide 28mm tires have had issues. I'll let those who actually know something fill in more details...

    New prototype trike kit unveiled

You might be able to attach it to a fork so that it could work with RWD vehicles. It has brakes (which is good), but it will raise up the front end a bit, so that may be problematic. But, yes, FWD is the way to go (both here and in general :D ).

Wider tires for the fall / winter?

If you get a 26" wheel set, you might be able to do get 35mm studded tires on the Silvio. With 700c rims, no way. Clearly, you'd need disc brakes with said 26" wheel.

    Custom-length Chainstay Extension for Silvio

Thank you for the post. Your oversight didn't hurt its value at all.

    Custom-length Chainstay Extension for Silvio

Very cool! (Althought I don't think this works on Vendettas, only on Silvios.)

    Seattle Area Cruzbike Test Ride

There's a lot of wisdom here. I sometimes find I need to remind myself of this at the beginning of the season on big downhill descents.
