    Upgrading models to Sofrider V2

Pretty much any 34.9 mm front derailleur should work (I've added one to my Cruzigami Mantis). You can use a top pull front derailleur if you don't want to use the pulley to change pull direction. I'm a big fan of chain spotters. After mounting the derailleur, add the shifter of your choice and...

    Experiences Silvio S30 installed a Schlumpf SD/HSD & Rohloff hub ?

Since I know nothing, I figured I'd answer first and let the people who really know what's going on answer later. 1) Since the weight of the hub is over the tire patch, I wouldn't think it would make the steering feel much heavier. (Getting feedback from somebody who actually rode with one...

I did "report" the post as a duplicate. But if we add too much interesting stuff here, they won't be able to delete it... :)

    Starting and stopping

I personally prefer my handlebars to not be so close to my chest for exactly that reason. Getting a stem riser may be useful in your case for this reason. Post pictures of you on your bike and you'll get better suggestions. For stopping and starting clipped in, you just need to practice...

    It only took 13 years!

Tire choice and pressure on the trailer will make a big difference as well. (I'm thinking something like Schwalbe Big Apples that are known for their comfort, but still roll well, too). If you don't need the car seat for the seatbelts or extra support, it's likely more comfortable without it...

    HPV races at Northbrook Velodrome

For what it's worth (and this is really just conjecture): I understand why it's said that elliptical rings help more when you mash instead of spin. But even when spinning, you are pushing on the pedal more during the down stroke than you are at the end of the stroke. This is mitigated when you...

Vendetta V1.5 for sale in Ontario

Eric is absolutely correct. I never clipped in before my Sofrider. You feel much more at one with the bike clipped in. I'm sure it makes it easier to ride with no hands being clipped in.

Yet another hill question for my Silvio.

Huh. I've found the opposite. Being in a low gear so I could smoothly spin and sitting up helps prevent slipping for me.
