    $200?? That's a steal! (if it's not already stolen...)

    Comfort mods for S30

Well done! It's also possible that you are able to generate more power with a slightly higher seat angle. (Wouldn't be crazy at all.) And I think you're right. Being more comfortable means you are more relaxed and the bike probably handles better. Which also means that you'll ride the...

A dramatic upgrade: Air shock for Quest

Very cool. Definitely on the list of things to consider (for both of my Cruzbikes).

    Experiences Silvio S30 installed a Schlumpf SD/HSD & Rohloff hub ?

If I really wanted to do a IGH, I'd run a front derailleur with it instead of HSD or MTD. Switching the front happens much more infrequently and you can save both money and complexity this way. The new Silvio has 132.5mm spacing, so you ought to be able to get a 135mm IGH to fit. You'll need...

    First cycling vacation coming soon

The reason car tires have treads is because of hydroplaning. Bikes don't hydroplane, so slick tires work well on most surfaces (single track, grass, and snow being an obvious exceptions). As far as rain goes, a slick with good wet traction will do better than something with treads as you'll...

    Climbing and Sprinting technical talk

This is commonly referred to a bridging and you can do it on many 'bents. I find it easier to do on a Cruzbike than I think I would on other 'bents because you can push against the handlebars to help get your butt out of the seat. I can only do it for a short period of time, but when I do it...

    Climbing and Sprinting technical talk

The biggest issue I think with newbies going down hills is being tense. Being tense at high speed can introduce wobbles very quickly that can become out of control if not handled.

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)

I have the insulated hose on my Camelbak and it makes a difference (but still not as well insulated as the Camelbak itself).

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

On my Cruzigami Mantis, I have mustache bars which put my hands in a similar position. Tangentially, I have always really liked that picture. Quite fierce. :D

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)

If the mouthpiece seals, then once you pull the water through the hose, it should stay there. So you won't be pulling it the whole way on every drink. On the minus side, the hose may be less well insulated than the bottle, so you'll be drinking warm water...

    Where is everybody?

O.k. It's been several hours and not a single new post? Did everybody go out and ride at the same time? What's going on? Come on, people! I. Need. My. Fix. Get back to work! Double points for posting pictures!

Front wheel covers on a Vendetta

General consensus seems to be that front disks usually only make sense in a place where you know the winds are going to be controlled (e.g., velodrome). There are those who have successfully ridden them in the real world, but Greenspeed's experience isn't uncommon.

    31st annual Michigan HPV Rally - 6/13/2015 to 6/14/2015

People think riding a Cruzbike is hard. What about riding a Cruzbike and a velomobile at the same time. What a feat! :)
