    Team Cruzbike RAAM 2017

Ascending the Glass Elevator is a much slower proposition! Gods Blessings for a trouble free and speedy RAAM Team Cruzbike! Unfortunately we will not be able to make it to Oceanside to see you off. It is going to be beastly hot in the SW for the next couple of days so stay cool crossing the...

RAAM time to spread the word again about 3000 miles to a cure

If we can get everything sorted out my wife and I would like to head over to Oceanside and send the team off. Will likely be able to arrive early to provide a pair of hands for last minute tasks. Let me know if that would be beneficial.

    Fighting residual wobblies

In the beginning I had a high speed wobble that used to catch me off guard. IME the wobble subsided with a more efficient peddling technique. I found that my right leg was dominant and that induced a swerve/wobble to the left periodically. When I worked on smoothing out my peddling the wobble...

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

I don't know Mark, Roxanne seemed pretty tolerant of the whole bike thing..... BTW hows the new build? We need to go spin the cranks!

    Bottles, bags, luggage racks

Kit, I use a seat-post mount rack with regular panniers. Works like a charm. An inexpensive version of the rack made by Bell is available at Walmart or the likes for around $20. Ive got a couple that I have tried. Use a bent up cycles seat bag for extra storage too. Check this thread for...

    Little tweaks

That's interesting. I just installed a Vision TT crank @ 155mm replacing a SRAM Red crank @ 170mm on my S30 and didn't move the boom. I was expecting to have to move the boom out but heel to pedal leg extension test virtually identical on both cranks. Ill check again on Thursday when I ride...

Very impressive indeed. I agree with the triangulation suggestion. That is quite the curve in that seat. What brand and model is it?

    S30 paint

Ive successfully used a paint pen on numerous occasions for touch-up. They are available in a wide variety of colors from your local hobby store. IMO easier to use than the polish brush because you can dab on a thinner coat that spreads better and is smoother lacking brush marks.

    Silvio 1.0 front shock

Mark, I ran 150psi in the shock on my S1.0 and S30 too. I think know the sound you are talking about and it may be associated with an abrupt hit to the front end. There are a couple of joints on the bridge underpasses on the Santa Ana River trail near us that used to jar my eye teeth no matter...

    New headset on original Silvio

Try lots of WD 40 in the holes in the side of the pin? They have male and female threads and IIRC the hex key side is male. Is it possible to dismantle the triangle and tilt the boom up to get at the stem cap? I think your headset will work if it is 1".
