Maria Parker's original V1.5 for Sale!

as a sizing guide, i have a v 1.5 medium size, the chainstay on this one looks same size. At 183cm tall, i'd say i am close to or at maximum height for this size (with 165 cranks not sure what this bike has). I like the 1.5 handling wise, and one advantage of the aluminium seat is that one...

Trek Releases new bike that can keep up with the V20

Yes bike tt helms are optimised for downward view, but the smoothed in ear flaps which then keep a smooth profile to the rear, and a flush visor should all be better than usual helmets and the non aero contours of nose, eye sockets, ears and helmet straps. Giro selector looks good and has an...

Trek Releases new bike that can keep up with the V20

I think a well fitted time trial position would be close to but not better than the CdA of a vendetta, but only when in the optimum position, which takes effort and it isn't safe to have hands on the tt aero bars and head down all the time, whereas on a v one can be optimally positioned and...

    Joe's New Tires

I changed to gp4000 2's recently. I need to redo some laps to get test data with power and run r Chung analysis to see how much difference there is. on the down side, they do provide less traction going up hill as now i can break traction, whereas on the yellow vredesteins i could not. if heat...

Interesting accessories for lightening your wallet and weightening your bike

That might make a good hamster bar grip position for maximum aero on a vendetta at low to medium efforts. one could put a cross brake on it for safe backup braking when away from the main grips.

what happened to your rear fender to make it stand so far away from the tire?

    Underseat bag for Vendetta?

yes, it is not possible unless you use a problem solvers "travel agent" pulley (see photo). I have SRAM Rival brakes. The travel agent has a barrel adjuster, so I removed the barrel adjuster of the brake (just unscrewed it). The two cords just ahead of the brake are bungees running under the...

    Underseat bag for Vendetta?

Moving the brake to the upper mounting makes more space. I'll post some Photos of it and bungee storage setup (and more fenders!) Soon.

Need input for possible new Cruzbike product

For my vendetta (with me on it)'s measured cdA, to increase from 24 to 25 mph staying at 235watts, that would require a13 percent reductipn in cdA. At a Cd of 1 (bluff messy body aerodynamics of eg helmeted head), that would mean removing frontal area of 165x165mm. Put another way, improve the...

The "Learning to ride a Vendetta" diary

Looks like peder's vendetta is a version 1.5 like mine but looks like it has large size chain stays from the bigger gap below the bb. The 1.5 has a slightly lower head angle than later editions. wheel flop instability at low speed might be more than on the 2.0 and v20. Self stable speed of the...

carbon seat for a vendetta 1.5?

thanks, yes robert already gave me a heads up. One plus side of the aluminium seat is that I'm totally happy to drill a hole here or there when necessary. I have a few bungee loops along the seat back providing secure and nearly weightless solution to hold rolled clothing and pump.

    My Vendetta adventure

I wonder if the rear derailleur cable run lengths and directions a v being more similar to typical df lengths compared to other recumbents helps this.

    My Vendetta adventure

at least practicing in the dark reduces the chances of beeing seen looking like a newby needing training wheels. :-) i can confirm that cable cutting = instant need to adjust boom syndrome. I was lucky in that i made them slightly too long on the first cut and was able to avoid needing a new...

    My Vendetta adventure

I guess the M5 brakes may have a right angle or 180 degree noodle, which might allow you to fit the rear brake on the upper mount (where clearance for the barrel adjuster of a regular rear brake was very tight on my V1.5. Mounting it up there if you can keeps the lower triangle nice and clean...

carbon seat for a vendetta 1.5?

Does anyone have access to a vendetta 1.5 frame and a new vendetta or silvio carbon seat? I'm interested too find out how close a fit the new carbon seat would be on my vendetta 1.5 as the weight savings would be about 750grams. I dont mind if i have to shim it with foam or filler, or some...

    My Vendetta adventure

works fine. main prob i have with the front derailleur is that whenever i loosen the bb clamps to for example adjust boom length, the bb ends up moving laterally a little, so care is required to ensure it gets reclamped in tbe original position. even then a tweak to the barrel adjuster and/or...

shoe covers or just a smooth looking shoe? Looks like the camera angle needs to include a rear view mirror to keep it more interesting than just countryside views. :-)
