    Conundrum : tandem

hmm, that might also result hmm, that might also result in a different sort of chain wear since the rollers would be reversing direction each time they go around the chainwheel and cluster. might be good, or bad or more likely, no difference. I have never ridden a back to back tandem, but...

    Conundrum : tandem

i prefer the layout of the i prefer the layout of the back to back tandem by tom traylor (except have the stoker pedal backwards into a flipped over wheel rather than use his many idler layout which is used to allow the stoker to have a normal forward pedal stroke)...

    Vendetta Ready for the Heat

how much power difference for the disc wheel? Hi Jim, Since you are using a power meter, have you investigated how much less drag (or at least the power difference at some "test speed" )the rear disc wheel is giving compared to a spoked wheel (and how many spokes?) at some defined speed...

I guess the sculpting is fun. I guess the sculpting is fun. would love to have a go at it too but I can't get suitable foam here in small town NZ (and then there is the question of how much time could be allotted to it after work and domestic duties (and sleep!). Keep the pictures coming!

    Videos from the road

Interestingly the video Interestingly the video doesn't contain any "doorings" (also a feature of biking in melbourne in the non-separated "bike lanes" painted on so many of the streets.) But many memories watching it, so many routes just work naturally with a bike in the city.

Looks great. The dip in the Looks great. The dip in the middle skill also mean a nice short, (simple?) connection between the fairing and the top of the boom. could be interesting to see if there would be much drag difference between this double hump shape add a more typical "torpedo" shape...

My vendetta is set up the way I like it and I'm used to it now, and I'm not commuting 23km each way (rain or shine - love the fairing even if it gets odd looks!) any more, so I don't need this conversion bike any more and it's for sale. Located in Nelson, New Zealand. With the big windwrap...

    Vendetta 1.5 fenders (mudguards)

My newly acquired Vendetta 1.5 is to be my daily driver to work (23km), and if I am to fully replace the heavy conversion, I need fenders to deal with the wet days. With fenders and a fairing, my heavy cruz conversion is great even in a downpour! I found that the SKS raceblade long fenders...

Anyone running Hutchinson Sector tyres and do they fit the Vendetta?

Just measured the clearances Just measured the clearances on my Vendetta 1.5. I'll leave it to JT to confirm any differences to the V2.0. Tightest is the front of the fork crown. Without removing the brake I cant get a caliper in there, looks tight might be 5mm or even less. I have 23mm...

    Quest on AIR

Although the spring returns all energy which it sites during compression, the shock absorber does not. If it didn't work that way, going over a bump would result in you continuing to bounce...
