My best Silvio pic
Time for a little Silvio pr0n in HD. :)
I took this sometime this past summer (Northern Hemisphere) and it is still on my desktop today.
Best shot I've made of this bike methinks.
Never did reply to all this
I got my bullhorn bars, scored a good deal on some TT bar end shifters, bought some cross brakes and engaged my LBS to do the install.
In a phrase: it was a disaster.
I couldn't get them right no matter how many ways I tried to adjust.
The brakes and the...
my climbing style...and sprinting.
When I climb really steep stuff I end up using the hoods on my SRAM Rival brifters.
My bike rocks back and forth as well.
sometimes my butt even creeps up the back of the seat a little bit.
I maintain a pretty close distance to the pedals (from the...
Updated mine yes
I updated my location and the map is right but it appears that the country selection still reads Australia (default).
As much as I'd like to be there...
The new site...
...is totally awesome.
Way more organized (information architecture = good)
Way more usable (layout, less clicks)
Prettier - (color scheme, forum layout,)
Nice job team.
Now, back to the bikes.
I just changed my username on this forum.
Strange that I have issues with being referred to as blief.z - it feels like someone referring to me by my phone number or something.
Anyway, same rider, different name.
More AllBlack bike pr0n!
Just hafta upload my favorite new pic.
Everytime, before I race in Portland, I clean the bike up a bit and everytime (cause it takes so long) I think I better get a picture cause it won't look this nice again. :)
JPG is 1440 x 900.
Uhhh, disk quota issue still...
I should have mentioned -
I should have mentioned - since the wobbling went away I routinely hit 38 on my morning commute (same hill) and have once breached the 50MPH mark just like Ken M. and the ride was stiff, responsive, and solid.
50MPH on a Sofrider is impressive.
For what it's worth...
I experienced the same thing at about 28-30 mph the first time I went that fast. Maybe the first 10 times.
But.. without any apparent shift in...well...anything it went away.
My guess was micro over-corrections in my hands and feet that were magnified by the speed.
I...
Had another bad shifter experience on my Rival rear shifter.
This is the 2nd time on a climbing route that I have broken the mechanism inside.
This time I recognized what was happening before-hand and took it to my LBS.
They contacted SRAM and the company is replacing them free of...
Any Cruz bikers going to the Human Power Challenge (HPC) event over Memorial Day weekend?
Portland Oregon. May 29, 30, 31st(rainout option day)
http://www.ohpv.org/HPC/index.html
I plan on being there and I may even see what I can muster on my Silvio.
If you want to meet up you can send me a...
I use a cross-section of 2x1 3/8 inner-tube as a parking brake on my Silvio but it can be a little difficult to grab, especially with gloves. I make do.
You could also use things like LiveStrong bracelets or you could order one of these.

Looks like it has some nice features.
I'm a Silvio guy but dang 'ol - doesn't this look like a Quest to you?

Saw this pic on the front page of Ebis50's flickr page of 2010 STP.

Won't address the drag-behind-the-head issue but it might address issues one might have on say, a 100 mile, record attempt.
If it doesn't catch more air than it deflects.
Rob at RecumbentBlog indicated that they...

oh hell!
I'm away from the Cruzbike site for a coupla days and all hell breaks loose!
The Vendetta looks mouth-wateringly awesome.
Honestly, the orig picture just looked like a squished Silvio, which I naturally LOVE anyway, but this, THIS?! is a thing of beauty.
Love the gold color, love the...
