    Robert's V20 build

Robert, unless you did the ratz hack to run your shifter cables inside the bars it looks like the shift housings run up the leading edge of your drops. If they do, do you notice the housing under your hands when you pull on the bars for uphill etc? Which way did you route them around your...

    The V Chronicles

Not even Chris is worthy of Thor's hammer. I'm happy with my rubber replica.

    2013 Vendetta tires

My frame is the 2015 V20. 28mm tires (tubeless) in place with ample clearance. Don't know about the 2013, no doubt someone on here has put 28's on one?

    The V Chronicles

I like to think of it as Thor's Hammer, not a mere rubber mallet. That way it matches my bike mechanic skill level and my build philosophy of "if it won't fit, force it!" ;-)

    The V Chronicles

Finally, some progress! Waxed chains hang from the ceiling, the Schwalbe One 28mm tubeless tires are holding pressure beautifully, a lovely older lady looks on in the background, and the completed V20 frame sits elegantly in the repair stand ready for component installation.

I sense a disturbance in the 3rd Law

When I lived in Albuquerque a friend had relatives visiting from Germany. They thought a day trip to the Grand Canyon would be good, because, it's just the next state over, yes? Yes, but it's still 6 hours, each way, if you don't stop at all. It would've been a long day.

Cruzbike anywhere from Houston to New Orleans?

Yeah I bought mine having never ridden one; bought a used Sofrider more out of curiosity than anything else. Once I got the hang of it (without benefit of Ratz's rules, this was before) I sold my other recumbent, not because the Sofrider was faster but because it was more FUN. Then bought the...

What I learned building out a pair of 2016 V20 Vendettas

All 'heads up', 'trip wires ahead' etc warnings and advice greatly appreciated from everyone! Because of Doug's posted experience I now have a handful of Tektro washers (indeed, straight from Niagara Cycles--great customer service). Because of ratz I will give the BB that came w my crankset a...

What I learned building out a pair of 2016 V20 Vendettas

Yikes. I know nothing about the need for adding spacers to the bottom bracket. As for brakes....why make a bike that doesn't use the standard brake caliper screw? I did add a washer to the front brake on Silvio 1.5 but no other issues. Also bought brake cable in the 'tandem' length for the rear...

    Robert's V20 build

That's pretty cool, I would never have deliberately pulled the stalk off! I really like the Cyclestar too but a more compact/clean look will be nice on the V. Here they are on Softrider, on the stalk but with the mirror itself flipped completely upside down on the stalk for my version of a...
