Nice set ups on both bikes. Thanks for posting the pics and esp the rider point of view. Love the way these bikes seem endlessly customizable for each rider's personal preferences. Yep friction shifters are fun and have a nice retro vibe. And v-brakes are for sure strong. When I bought my used...

It might not. But...the drive wheel I had on the 1.5 was for 9, 10, or 11 speed. There was a spacer for my 10 spd cassette to fit on the 11spd compatible free hub, which fit the Silvio with no problem. If I remember correctly someone on this forum and maybe several talked about using 11spd on...

Right you are, 10-42. Do you get the grindy noise in your lower two gears like Rojo was talking about or is that more likely on a mtb? What about the jumps between gears? Ok on the Silvio?

Not sure if this thread belongs here or elsewhere, but I'm very curious what people here think about SRAM 1x. Realizing I could use a 50 tooth chainring and the 10-40 cogset and have a wider gear rannge than I have now with no FD to deal with has me intrigued. Even though I have no problems...
