Hardest Grand fondo in Australia- Bicycle Networks Falls Creek Challenge

actually 14000 m vertical ascent. You have an elapsed 90 hours to complete. I did it in 85 hrs 13 min. I was knocked off my bike on an inner city Melbourne cycleway by a guy on a fixie. 5 klm to go. Bugger. Still better than being killed or hitting kangaroos wombats or wild horses. Some of the...

Hardest Grand fondo in Australia- Bicycle Networks Falls Creek Challenge

it will be very tough no matter the gearing. I will need to train specifically harder for such an event. Maybe there is something in nsw where we could ride together. As an intro. I have no drop policy. What about an audax or charity ride with some climbing.

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

yes it’s all in jest not wilful at all. Pot stirring is a national pastime along with gambling. In reality I have the utmost regard for my friend . david remains the one and only south Australian to ride and ignominiously crash my vendetta. True story. at the time I did not realise that south...

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

I think you will find the vendetta rear wheel with 16 spokes radial lace will rub the rear caliper excessively and annoyingly. due to the loading 50/50 weight distribution. You will open the rear caliper rendering it useless. Calipers don’t work so well anyway on carbon brake rim surfaces ...

Thor GS Easy on the V20

Without doubt mj comfort is speed. Well done on finding your solution. And a good deal too. Love a bargain :) The stock neckrest is part of the extremely stiff efficient frameset. Unfortunately that transfers a lot of road chatter through to the noggin. Seemingly we all have variable tolerance...

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

16 spokes radial pattern on rear of vendetta equals a lot of flexion beyond standard front wheel on a df. I personally would not be worried about carbon rim which is super strong but worried about catastrophic failure of spokes when railing an imperfect corner at high speed. Those sixteen...

Hardest Grand fondo in Australia- Bicycle Networks Falls Creek Challenge

Gee don don’t know about that. At sixty years old a testicle may slip into the wrong cavity. Maybe 3 for me. 3 watts not nuts. And 15% real hills equals wheel slip excuse to walk. Maybe three of us can have a go.

    Head Rest

Ditto paco. Except the bike. The oem cruzbike neckrest with inflated bladder inner tube is super comfy. lol I put my Thor neckrest in the oven to shape it. It went flat. Lol. Subsequently I did manage to shape it to requirement from the oven. I prefer the early style performer neckrest on my...

Plus one larry o. Mid sole cleated shoes. Move those cleats back as far as possible.. try for biggest interface between shoe and cleat as possible..hot foot tingling is a royal pain. I’ve found my flexy shimano sandals to be the worst offender.

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

I personally would not run with 16 spokes on well really any bike nowadays. Vendetta puts you at 50/50 weight distribution. A broken spoke on your 16/front rear on vendetta might lead to overloaded spokes despite 50 mm carbon rim. Certainly puts my front wheel climbing wheelset on my df into...
