Too big or too small for Cruzbike? Check the Chart. Take the Poll.

seems to me the cruzbike green zone is larger than many others through great design. tough to improve that kind of accessibility in an affordable manner. perhaps a greater range of available chainstay sizes. I’ve not seen greater care and advice for fitment and riding from any other company.

    S40 frameset build options...

A 2 x with a chain keeper never drops a chain when set right. Both on vendetta and brevet. Sram red yaw front mech. Weight wise I would not think there was much difference. Especially once you’re up to a 13 to 42 cassette and a 40 t front. Run out of gears downhill. Still what ever floats your...

    S40 frameset build options...

Congratulations. Yessssssdd. Schwalbe marathon plus tyres are really slow and heavy and only needed as a city commuter on glass strewn streetscapes or worse. Marathon still offer very good protection and run faster. I’m experienced only in 406 size and am to try the marathon racer soon. Though...

Velogical Rim Dynamo audax u not.

I’ve just ordered another velogical sport dynamo and iqx light. Set up is great for me and my paradise weather. Long term all I did was change o ring and faff with dynamo position as I upgraded to disc brakes on vendetta. The noise of the dynamo became a friend running on tyre wall was fine...

Velogical Rim Dynamo audax u not.

Perhaps it is your custom setup. ="snilard, post: 152590, member: 4346"]There are my comments after few years of usage: I have mounted my Velogical to front fork of my V20. Currently my setup is this: dynamo -> my custom battery charger -> 1S Li-pol battery -> my custom LED driver -> 2x LED. I...

Why are new bikes so heavy?

Extra weight on me or the bike “make you faster downhill.” Salesperson yak. interesting discussion of weight ,value, efficacy, dollars per gram and tech advances here. go light go fast. Yeah I’m a guilty bling thing really. The benefit of disc brakes is worth the weight. I’ve never used di2...

    V20 Assembly

any rare bike computer that resembles in size a phone. Or costs as much. Lol no successful bike computer is actually exotic in these ho hum technological days. Perhaps exotic is not the word the op was searching for. Perhaps extortionate is better. how about simple functional bike computer.

    V20 Assembly

Yep you will need to move your mirrors out. So they almost caress your wrists. Garmin edge 520 plus is not exotic.

    SRAM what?

Whenever I’ve had niggles with ten or eleven speed it has mostly turned out to be cable related. Fraying inner cable mostly usually at the brifter end. I’m frightened to try the superior electronic sets lest we forget how much I have to love mechanical. Often I’ll put bikes on trainer 10 or 11...

What's on your bicycle tour packing list?

Great list. Plus one on enlightened equipment. one rule only. The more space you have the more you pack. Don’t do it. go light go fast.

Pelso Brevet review / comparison to vendetta.

My gto was my first and will be my last recumbent. A quality product. Sad that greenspeed has left our shores. That’s business. Onwards and upwards. yes the original cro moly frames were made in Australia by straylyans . By 2002 the cro mo was being welded painted overseas.

Battle of the Brands - Bike Sebring 2020

yes the edge 520 plus is a big leap from the old now stone age featureless edge 500 and four year old standard edge 520. Colour maps included now turn by turn with street names off course reroute too. The 520 you could load street maps to but it was relatively small area. The edge 520 plus model...

Battle of the Brands - Bike Sebring 2020

yes the bolt truly has great battery life and superlative graphic. However I prefer my edge 520 plus and with a small cache battery it runs for days. The maps in colour do it for me.

bandit riding the DALMAC / self sup touring on the V20 / how do I get panniers on it

Banana racers worked for me. Tent air mattress pillow and quilt. All ultra light. Pretty tight squeeze.

    V20 Assembly

before you spend more money let the neckrest out another inch or so. This action will counter intuitively allow your head to be more vertical. You should be double triple chinning. Grab the cyclestar mirror though and modify it for sure.

yes. Great clear view. Much better than zefal.

    V20 Assembly

The problem with the zefal spy is the plastic reflective surface over time degrades . The cyclestar glass mirror is a little less aero being slightly larger but it lasts gives a crisp useful view and is better for older eyes. You really only need one per bike. edit the degradation amounts to...

    V20 Assembly

yep I’ve done two mirrors that way successfully. You were able to remove the stalk ball from the mirror using leveraged force. Now place the band and nubbin firmly on the handlebar. Push down the mirror with fleshy thumb part of your palm of your hand on glass surface with force .This should pop...
