Silvio 2.0 Seat Angle and Rear Suspension

I was thinking that adjusting the rear suspension of Silvio 2.0 would also affect the seat angle. How much would this change the seat angle and would it be significant for those wanting to tweak this angle? Below are my data and measurements. Conclusion: The seat angle changes from 27.0 to...

    Silvio 2.0 Picture Thread

John, may ask your John, may ask your height/weight? I think you're similar to me and I may consider bars like that. In your experience is 44cm a good width? I have a brand new 39cm drop bar on hand, but lying back on my couch and holding it over my legs, it feels too narrow for my legs. I am...

    silvio drive wheel removal

I decided I better practice I decided I better practice this at home before having to do out on the road. Definitely recommended for Silvio owners to practice this as it is so different usual DF rear wheel removal. After a couple of tries I decided the following was the best way for me: 1...

Silvio 2.0 Journey, Build, and Ride Video

Ride Report I completed my fourth "decent" ride, not counting short practice sessions. Thoroughly enjoyed the 60km, and can feel that each ride I am gaining in control and speed. I am now coasting in between cars to the front of the traffic light, and can better navigate some of the tight...

Bottom Bracket Clamp Bolts When I first assembled my Silvio, I think I used the wrong bolts in the C-clamps that hold the bottom bracket. I probably mixed them up when taking out all the bolts and parts. If you are assembling, please use the correct bolt on the RIGHT in the following picture...

It may not be immediately It may not be immediately apparent from the pictures but the aluminium brake track on the 420 Aero 3 wheelset is unusually narrow. One has to very carefully position the brake pads on installation. Some don't like this about the wheelset, but it contributes to their...

    Waiting is hard to do.

Us boys (and some girls) and Us boys (and some girls) and our toys! Work has been too busy this week to ride much, but surprisingly dropped another kg in the past few weeks. Maybe it's the "cross-training" effect as I only rode DF before but now Silvio is changing my muscle usage, especially...

Larry, nope - I'm running the Larry, nope - I'm running the 10 speed so can't help you there. I got my components through Cruzbike. Re the wheels, since I'm in Asia (Singapore), shipping stuff back/forth is a tad more prohibitive than it is for most of you guys...

    Push or Pull?

Great Advice The advice is very helpful. Now I know that my natural inclination to pull most of the time on a reclined Silvio 2.0 is not wrong from John's comment. At the same time, I should continue to practice open palms as per Steve and BK's advice. I heartily agree that pedal steer is not a...

    Push or Pull?

I am new Silvio rider and totally new to recumbents. I pull on the bars naturally when starting the bike and going uphill, but what about the flats? I can't figure out what is the most efficient to do and whether I should be pushing instead? The learning to ride instructions talk about "open...

Silvio had a photo shoot Silvio had a photo shoot yesterday, followed by her third road ride tonight. 50+km along the coast and to the airport made for a nice late evening ride. Just ordered a Silvio 2.0 frame

Noahvale, it's interesting Noahvale, it's interesting that you are immediately up to speed holding 20mph on your early test rides. For me, as Silvio is my first recumbent I can't yet hold this speed which I do on my DF. Not enough road practice yet. Hopefully tonight I can get a long run in.
