Silvio 2.0 Build & Maiden Voyage

I have mine set up such that I have mine set up such that when I want to be aerodynamic I can lean back against my seat, rotate my upper body back, and this straightens my arms making them almost parallel to the ground. In normal riding conditions my upper body (chest, neck, head area) are...

    Rohloff build for Vendetta

You would get a slight You would get a slight aerodynamic benefit from figuring out a way to get rid of your chain tensioner (eccentric bottom bracket like you said or some other method). I've been thinking about an internal gear hub for a while from looking at my bike and seeing the front...

    Silvio recumbutt

My experience parallels My experience parallels cplager's. The lowering my seat angle reduced recumbutt. My Quest is currently set around 40 degrees and I still experience pain in my upper butt cheeks after about 4 or more hours in the seat.

    High speed steering help...

The first time I rode my The first time I rode my Quest I would wobble out of control any time I got above about 20mph. I learned to pedal differently so as to avoid this. Now the only time I feel a similar sensation is when I am descending to quickly to keep up and I spin out. Sometimes...

    Vendetta 2.0 unboxing and build

What is the angle of the What is the angle of the bottom seat pan like? I'm curious if it is angled up at all to form a bit of a aerodynamic wall.

    Aero wheels

thanks for the input thanks for the input everyone. I am surprised there isn't more positive reviews of aero wheelsets. I thought that the reduced drag might feel really good while flying on the flats and low grades. It is a compromise, though. Light road sets give you the reduced wieght...

    Aero wheels

the total weight for a Zipp the total weight for a Zipp 808 set is 1730g, which is only, say, 300 grams heavier than a light weight road set. That's two thirds of a pound; not a whole lot to carry up the hills but potentially valuable on the descents and flats. I hope someone has tried them...

    Aero wheels

Have any Vendetta owners tried deep section wheels on their V? Maybe a Zipp 808 front and disc rear? The V is already very aerodynamic, these wheels would only make it faster on the flats and downhills.

    Vendetta build

Why did you use a disc brake Why did you use a disc brake in the rear? It seems like it would be good to use a rim brake in the rear. You don't need much braking strength in the back and this type of braking system allows for a lighter wheel, lighter braking components, and better...

Silvio 2.0 and 27 Degree Seat Angle

I ride similar to Charles.  I I ride similar to Charles. I like to be as reclined as possible on my Quest to go fast, then sit up for tight maneuvers, better visibility, and stopping. The only times I need to sit up are for short term, low speed things were aerodyamics is not important so it...

I don't understand.  It I don't understand. It sounds like you just said, "When I make a turn I turn the handlebars, as I come out of the turn I straighten my handlebars." I don't know of any other way to make a turn.

    Sweaty back?

I must agree with this guys I must agree with this guys post on the bentrideronline forum, "Adding electric powered gizmoes is the work of Satan. Keep it pure or get a car." I am not a fan of battery powered things on a bike. Bikes should be human powered and preferably not use such...
