    V20 Build with Replacement Seat

Cleat positioning on the feet are worth looking into also. Quite a number of us have cleats placed more towards the heel than the usual road bike setting. (Don't like using the word normal)

    Be careful out there...

My only issue with pelotons on a Cruzbike, if you cant avoid a smash... try to make sure a leg is extended as it will stop the chain wheel cutting someone who might be in front. The probability of a Cruzbike rider having a head trauma accident is a lot less than a DF rider. Real sad news that...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Well it makes sense to buy it on Kickstarter for cheaper. My guess is it might not have as much staying power as a known brand after all they do throw a lot of money and research into their products. I agree at that Kickstarter price point that it's attractive.

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Best to keep quiet and just lose the weight. Nothing is forever. Who knows what I will weigh in 12 months time?

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Need support; after telling Juani that I want to lose another four kilos, she kicked up a fuss. I said to her that I wanted to get to 72kg by February and she said you are already underweight and by then your face would have changed and you will look even more weird, don't you think you are...

    Central USA

Haaa you will be even more nervous when you ride one for the first time. Especially when you go over a bridge and then you feel the awesome acceleration that awaits you. Luv it...

    Little tweaks

Since I lost a large ice bottle I took it as a sign to get creative... So here we go. One bottle of gatorade that I am not going to drink in one go. A wonderful blue squishy bottle that contains half a litre with the perfect screw thread to take the gatorade's bottle top. Now this will hide...

    Little tweaks

I actually did get rid of the spacer before hitting the big 60kph. I just put the spacer on the other side and it all fits ok inside the boom. Pretty sure it has to improve the aerodynamics. My average if I don't hit a red light or stop is about 35kph. Just need to have a different bottle cage...

Finally got me a vendetta !!

Layne, Let the fun begin. Awesome bike. Just totally into it right now. Did you have any issues with the Di2, were you able to run the cables inside the frame?

    Finally - My sub-4 hour Century - totally fuel-less!

From what I have been reading... I think anyone doing endurance rides are better off with long compression socks. The biggest ache I had today is my left foot. The local foot expert seems to think it's caused by flat footedness. I have special arched inserts in my shoes but still my left foot is...

    Finally - My sub-4 hour Century - totally fuel-less!

I think you only faded the last 10 miles because of the issues with the rear tyre. Impressive for sure. I had a surprise today, one lovely ice bottle of extra cold water went missing. I know where it popped but I wasn't going to stop. The route I was taking touches on a highway where one lane...

Are you running the correct tire pressure?

If you don't want to go tubeless yet, just put some sealant in the inner tubes. You need to have the inner tubes with the removable valves. I ran for a whole season and a bit with that configuration and then changed to carbon rims; my front wheel has an inner tube with sealant in too. Next...

Seating tubeless tyres plastic bottle hack

I am going to try this. Thank you for posting it. I have so much hassle with tubeless tyres. In the video I am surprised the man can hold the pipe on the valve with that pressure... But still worth a go.

Your Max Speed on a Cruzbike

I can see that going down a 10% is completely different to what I am use to. I was always impressed watching that video of you descending in that race in Portland. I think it is on YouTube, not sure how fast you were there; it certainly looked fast.

Your Max Speed on a Cruzbike

He only got the better of me as he was on the offside and could get past the tractor more easily. It seems if you get caught next to the kerb you are limited in the way you overtake.

Emmitt Smith Grand Fondo Century on 9/17/2016 - Results

I watched all of the speed up film. It was extremely interesting. Personally the thought of all those mediocre peloton riders scare me completely. I think my heart rate would go up to 150bpm without even starting. I can't believe seeing you Larry getting back on the bike after such a cramp...

    Little tweaks

I decided to ride today without water. I rode quite fast for 53 minutes and got caught at one traffic light. I was riding with a tri-suit and wanted to feel what it was like when fully soaked, I was also riding without gloves as I wanted to feel the new bar tape that looks completely out of...

    Power to the pedal

I kid you not... https://www.backinaction.co.uk/mbt It's a Masai shoe. I guess if you extended the middle out and put the cleat in the Centre then this would be more aero or why not use the existing shoe with a cover then if you need to walk you just remove the cover?
