Crzubike featured in: 5 Expensive Bicycles with Unique Designs

It just stumbled on this YouTube Video this morning. Initial picture misleading also, as that bent not even in the list. Not sure I like that they are saying it is "expensive" - which it is not when compared to a high-end road bike that it can compete easily with. Did not give the Vendetta much...

    Saukki wants a Cruzbike

I just love the way he says "recumbent" reck-um-bent! Amazing footage on all that snow and ice. Will have to put this on my place to visit when I ride around the globe on my Vendetta. I even invited him to my "secret test facility" :p:p:p:p

Korea Q45 solo from Busan to Seoul

Fantastic video and report Giloun - great trail system. Makes me want to bring my Cruzbike there for a vacation! Good thing you did not scare those army guys too much when you passed them!

Test riding a true racing recumbent

I was able to maintain 30mph at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on about 220 watts on my Arrowhead. 260watts I was able to average 31.7mph for 10Mile TT Stava: https://www.strava.com/activities/1137498904 Here is the video: Last May at CMS again - when they switched the course to the "Roval"...

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

There are a 1000 riders in the Assault on Mount Mitchell. They do not let anyone ride down for safety reasons - just too much traffic on the road. All you need is some wa-hoo coming up who is just a tourist and decides to pass "some cyclists" and takes up the other lane - and you are history...

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

From what I have seen, I fully tuned rider on a TT bike comes very close to an average recumbent bike's cD. I would say a good working paceline or better yet a huge "blob" of ridders would be able to be a single recumbent. Heck, look at the real time power numbers of some of those DF's ridders...

    V20 (Near) Perfect Fit

Nice! Leif - The way you have the V20 setup with the higher seat back (Thor seat I suspect) and the higher handlebars, it looks more like an S40!

Jim and Maria doing RAAM Texas Challenge and Blue Ridge Parkway

Yeah Thanks - If you had come also, you would have you own category too! My setup for this ride. I am riding with my full drop handlebars and an 11x32 cassette with a 34x52 front Qrings. Wow that cassette looks huge! haha. I can climb 18% grade on that setup nicely. Odd the RWGPS says 21.2%...

Jim and Maria doing RAAM Texas Challenge and Blue Ridge Parkway

I was looking at the route. I looks like there is one 51 mile accent that may have about 3000' of climbing in it. There are also 5 "major" climbs that all appear to have at least 18% grades to them. The final one is the steepest at 21.2% grade coming at around mile 173. We should be plenty...

Jim and Maria doing RAAM Texas Challenge and Blue Ridge Parkway

Here is the signup for the 200 mile event. 3 Cruzbikes, but no other brands. I guess the competition just saw us and decided it wasn't work it!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

"Winter" - Cruzbike Virtual Time Trial Challenge

Quick rundown week by week: Week #2: snapshot of the week #2 results (below), and you can see that Jim Finger beat his week #1 time by "351" seconds. Josh was 2nd best improvement at 75 seconds. Week #3: no PBs Week #4: 71 secs by Jim Parker Week #5: 56 secs by Rob Llyod Week #6: 57 secs by...

"Winter" - Cruzbike Virtual Time Trial Challenge

Here is my TT for week #8. I improved my PB by "only" 23 secs. Guess you beat me Jason. https://www.strava.com/activities/2205814847 I tried what Jason suggested last week: Setting Zwift trainer difficulty to 100% for this try. Hills were oh so hard to go up. I did try shifting some, but...

"Winter" - Cruzbike Virtual Time Trial Challenge

All super good points Jason - lets take this off this thread and email some ideas back and forth to see if we can come up with something "better" for the Summer Challenge. - Larry

    Calvin's Challenge Cancellation

I was just in a WUCA board meeting and a few member appeared to confirm that this event was cancelled. I don't not want to start any "rumors" here but a few said that Maria was supposed to have "purchased" the "Calvin's Challenge" race from Larry Graham, but she never did. I believe that this...

Zwift - Cruzbike Activities (races and group rides)

Yes, I rode this race, but I am usually winding up my morning ride by the time this starts. Still it is always good to get in a 1 HR TT effort once a week, so I will probably adjust my schedule to do it. About today: I did not feel all that "great" today compared to last week same ride, and it...

"Winter" - Cruzbike Virtual Time Trial Challenge

The only problem I really see having a steep indoor ride like "Alpe du Zwift" is the "difference" between how long it will take between the "faster" and "slower" rider at the beginner. Right now on a relatively flat Watopia course the difference between fastest and slowest times is about 10...

"Winter" - Cruzbike Virtual Time Trial Challenge

Yes Ben, The actual "idea" here was to allow Zwift rides and segments since most of us could not ride outdoors in the winter. By far the best would be to establish an actual "outdoor" segment of about 15 miles to do every week (or whatever). I gave the option of having both an indoor and an...

Test riding a true racing recumbent

I was there and saw the data with my own eyes. As far a yaw angles go. This is what I have been led to understand. Yaw angle of 0: This is what you would get on an indoor velodrome with basically no wind (other then what you are creating pushing through it). This is the best possible scenario...
