My first S40 Audax this weekend

no pics I'm afraid, I'll try and add some but I've been up to my eyeballs with work. New blog is published (won't cut and paste here in it's entirety), objectives and outcomes, to tantalise you Just to recap, the Cruzbike build was finished in mid-March and then the weather turned crappy...

    Climbing hills on a V20?

...OK with it. I'm finding the S40 much easier right now, perhaps 3 years of riding 'bents, perhaps the slightly more upright position. I think it may be a while before I'm comfortable with drinking from a bottle on the move though - I have a water bladder I'll rig up - good for audax and touring.

Fastback Double Century bags on a V20

I am sorry, I have not used the bags you have been talking with. Like many on this forum, I have gone from carrying a bunch of food on rides to carrying very little. Just letting my body eat itself while I ride.

Fastback Double Century bags on a V20

Has anybody used these bags on a V20? My new V20 build has the carbon race case which will handle tools, water bladder etc but I'm still looking for something that will allow me to keep a decent stash of food handy on long rides. I already own these bags and I use them on the Fuego. They're...

Comparing Vendetta & DF power outputs

Interesting comparison between DF and Carbon MBB up a 0.9Km road section of 9% grade by Marco Ruga. To ensure equal weight between the two bikes he carried some water in a "camel back" bladder on the DF. https://biciclettereclinate.blogspot.co.ke/2017/10/il-test-dei-test.html#more

    V20 Accessories

I'm running a Moose Pack (which is not in the picture below) and the carbon box. The carbon box contains my water bladder (I dislike bottles, prefer the Camelbak)...and mounts my tail-light. I could probably put a few protein bars in there but that's hardly worthwhile to me. The Moose Pack...

2018 V20 Coming Down the Line

That's not a lot of water, is that why you fall off so much dehydration ;)

2018 V20 Coming Down the Line

...you don't get one before March they tend to get sold out. Three screws hold the cover. The water bottle version also has a removable plate on time. That list yes. I can get a 70-oz water bladder, phone, keys, snack .... but it's on the small side if you compare it to something like Brain Box.

    Hydration options for T50

Ok, I demounted the TerraCycle "Fastback" bag from the V2/k and remounted to the T50. Match made in heaven, really. Fits right in the middle, no problem. I tied the top strap to the top bar of the seat stays and then wrapped the middle straps around the seat. The bottom strap went nicely around...

    Hydration options for T50

Yeah Flexr went under was a good product. Mostly using the Aero trunk now; but still have that setup for the Silvio.

    Hydration options for T50

@ratz turned me on to the Lezyne Flow cages, which work great. No bottle ejections since I got them. He also turned me on to FLEXR remote hydration, which is basically a hose hydration system with that uses regular bottles instead of a bladder, so if you've figured out how to mount bottles...

    Seat Bags

...P38 but I don't have that bag or any seat bag anymore. I generally like to use the bag for storage and especially for carrying a water bladder inside. Any suggestions for bags would be appreciated. Another question is related to seat comfort in general. The seats I liked the best were the...

    Hydration options for T50

I am stymied and using options that aren't working the best for me. The best would be a Camelbak type arrangement, but I can't figure out how to hang one off the bike. I do have a waistpack but the bladder is long gone and finding a replacement hasn't happened yet. The Cruzbike water bottle...

    Fun new accessories!

Thanks Mathew! Yes, it's definitely smaller than the Brain Box, but I rarely use the whole capacity of the Brain Box anyway. I'd probably just put a camelback bladder in the Race Case. I'll have a Moose Pack soon for spare tire, pump, etc.

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

Could a water bladder fit in the 'bulge' on the seat back...there seems to be a hole coming out of the bottom of the bulge, as well as on the other side (partially cut off by the top of the pic) for the drinking tube? Or maybe just a drain hole and internal cable entry point on the other side...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Disassembled the front end Sunday morning, removed Large chainstay replaced with Std. My Xseam was right in the middle between large and standard, so I flipped a coin and bought it with a large. Having ridden it that way since August, I have lost a good bit of weight and size. Lost a couple...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I slid the top tube back 1/2" (around 13mm) to experiment with my knee angles. I was happily running quite a flat extension. Previously, I could easily flex my ankle and let my knee go to a full 180 (while at rest, when pedaling I would guess 170 max). Now, I'm seeing more like ~150 degrees at...

    It's Mallet Season

I think that Camelbak has adapters that will allow one to rig up a quick-disconnect. Not sure which is compatible with which though. Right now, I have a 2l funnel with clear tubing and a shut-off valve. I remove the 'bite valve' and slip the funnel's hose over the stub, burp the system and let...
