V20c tire clearance and wheel sizes

...bike but have modified it for comfort with fat tires and a Thor Carrier seat. I also put a 1x12 Sram Eagle AXS drive train on it to get low gears. I have no interest in racing and the S40 is just too uncomfortable (recumbutt). I hope to do some credit card touring with my V20 using a trailer.

    Desperate Help for Fit Issues

Nice! I just finished a fit video for the V20C that talks about this type of alignment - not related to the foot issue but more in discussion of the tiller length. It will be on the Cruzbike YouTube channel probably in a few weeks.

Post a Pic of your Ride

Ooh, I got one of those. I had it out today for a 23 miler. It's a good climber and an all around fun bike. Not so good for really big mileage cause of recumbutt. I assume that's the one you had lofted over your head in your Cruzbike Riders photo?

    Brand New - Cruzbike S30 - $3,200 -sold

...which I replaced with an S40--an even better commuter. But compared to the V20, which is where I started with CB, the S40 gave me horrible recumbutt and felt slower, which was only a personal issue because I had become addicted to the V20's speed. The S40 is still a fast bike, and not...

Pain issues, look for bike and set-up advice.

awesome. i have done centuries on my sofrider without recumbutt, but i also use a ventisit pad and a very slight wedge.

Pain issues, look for bike and set-up advice.

...have to go ride a bunch. too far from you but i have one of each (okay no q45, but my sofrider is darn close) the only consistent issue is simply one of weight distribution. the more upright you are, the more you may have recumbutt issues to address, depending on you average distance of ride.

Disadvantage of flat seats with the Q Series?

Could you post some pictures of your Thor seat attached to your bike please? I ordered an easy seat from Thor. I'm also over 200lbs. Thanks in advance!

This question is blasphemous - V20 Seat Angle

I would 100% purchase one. I am willing to give the V20 angle a shot, but I'm honestly worried. I didn't like my VTX seat angle. If a Thor seat and rubber blocks can get me close, I'm sure it'll be fine. But yeah, I kick myself for selling that S30.

This question is blasphemous - V20 Seat Angle

...bike company to do this, but such a bike would sure have fans. I love my V20c and S30. But when I owned an S40, it gave me such horrible recumbutt that I decided to sell it (that, and it was too redundant with the S30). If they put out an S40-style S30, I'd probably sell my current S30 and...

    What’s Your Angle!? Why?

Which Thor seat did you use to replace the stock seat on your Q45?

    What’s Your Angle!? Why?

...set up my Q45 pretty upright also. After about 3 months of learning, I did a week long 600 mile trip across Kansas. I experienced some recumbutt on that ride, so decided to get a Thor seat, which is contoured, and more reclined (It’s at about 34 degrees). That takes some of the considerable...

V20 conversion from narrow 700mm wheels to wide 26"

...the extra thick cushion. It's now the most comfortable bike I've every owned, even on 70 mile rides. My only pain is exercise pain. No recumbutt or other issues. I'm planning to use if tor touring with a trailer and some smaller banana racer paniers. I also upgraded my drivetrain to...

Cracked Handlebar Screw Section: Help Needed

Thanks for this! It definitely gives me a better idea of what to expect. Sounds like I'll adapt quickly since I have a great foundation with my former S30.

Cracked Handlebar Screw Section: Help Needed

...three--not that the V and S30 are that hard to handle. Having the S30 and S40 became too redundant to justify, and the S40 gave me awful recumbutt, while the S30 never has. So I sold the S40, and still have the S30. I replaced the V20 with a V20c, and there is now an official speed...

S40 for Loaded Touring on Smooth Surfaces

Depends on your body weight. If you are a heavy rider like me (~220 lbs), you will suffer with daily recumbutt on the S40. I tried lots of seat combinations. Nothing worked. No recumbutt on the V20. The Q45 has an adjustable seat back but I'm not sure how far you can adjust it.

I solved the recumbutt issue on my S40 by adding about 1" of military grade polyethene foam. I rode it in this year's Texas BikeMS150 (Houston-LaGrange-College Station) and had no problems whatsoever.

    Self-Supported Bike Camping on a Silvio 2.0?

...an S40 with a lower seat angle (30 deg), I would buy one for touring. I toured 11K miles with an S40 last year and suffered every day with recumbutt. I'm done with the S40. I converted it to an ebike for short trips around town. I'm trying to convert my V20 for touring, but like the S30...

...the seat angle? I find it hard to get this information. My biggest problem touring with the S40 is the seat angle is too high and I get terrible recumbutt. I never have that issue with the V20. If I can get the Q45 to an angle of about 30-35 deg, I may consider it for a touring bike. Thanks.
