    Carbon Fiber Fun

Rick, I have a Bachetta Brain Box behind the seat on my V - in the same position that you are building your carbon fiber box. I don't use water bottles at all. I put a camelbak bladder in the box, and the end of the drink tube just sticks out just enough to grab it. When I want a drink, I...

...wallet are already going with me. It provides a NOTICABLE aerodynamic advantage. It's a great place to store the dense things like a water bladder (with the hose leading up out of the top of the pack below my chin for instant access), a U-lock, cell phone etc. This is because the heavy things...

...My current setup: Small children's backpack worn on my chest for wallet, adjustment tools, lock, and water bladder with hose leading right to my mouth. Plastic coffee container behind headrest for everyday stuff. When I travel I strap my bivy sack, sleeping bag and pad behind the headrest...

    Urinating on ultras

There are so many different reasons from pressure on the bladder; pressure on the kidneys etc. One that goes over looked is a lot of people that sit at a desk or stand all day have water pool in their legs (people that change from sit to stand all a lot of less problems). But most people don't...

    Revelate Bags on a Sofrider?

...I'm still a little shy of the storage space I'm used to on my regular bike packing set up (missing the frame bag where I usually have water bladder, cook kit, & food), but getting close. I'm used to touring for months on end, whereas this winter will likely be a series of 3-5 day trips, I...

    Revelate Bags on a Sofrider?

...I'll play some more and see if I can have my Salty Roll attach to the sweet roll on the opposite side of the seat post maybe for a water bladder. Is this crazy? Too much weight on the seat for the suspension? Ideas on how to attach a sweet roll under the seat instead of behind it? I'll...

Columbia River Gorge Tour on my S30

This tour rented all their vans, so maybe not. How was the Atlantic coast tour? Yes Rick, it definitely lived up to the dream. About half the group was retired or had jobs with summers off, a mix of couples and individuals, and now that I saw the age group, I can tell you there is plenty of...

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)

I have the insulated hose on my Camelbak and it makes a difference (but still not as well insulated as the Camelbak itself).

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)

No option in Florida ! Its gonna be warm water. My camelbak insulated tube runs into the (BBB) brain box and you need to empty the tube before you get a cold drink. So suck up a long drink or blow the line clear and have to pull all the way from the bladder. Jeremy, If you want a low cost way...

1st century - longest ride ever

It's awesome how everyone has different ways of attacking this. I'm curious - how did you hook up your aero bag?

1st century - longest ride ever

Congrats on your ride. Contrary to most I love the bladder system and it works great for me on every ride. I use this dual bladder http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ECVIKTG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage folded in my aero bag for most rides under 40 or so miles I only fill...

Paris or bust ... probably bust

I'm not a hydration bladder guy as that's really only good for water and not fuel mixes. So if you stray from the bladder check out: http://cruzbike.com/forum/threads/how-i-spent-my-summer-vacation.7599/#post-28370 My final configuration can be done with off the shelf parts and if using all...

    Multi-Day Ride: 100 miles a day

Heck, forget the bottle, just water the road as you go by.... :) ... It is amazing how a full bladder can make you so uncomfortable! I have been experimenting with condom cathedars for my upcoming 24 hour at Sebring. They seem to work pretty good, but man........ are they "painful"...

First club ride, and help needed

...stream ( since my body has already done that.) I was thinking of a showers pass unit like in the link, And some kind of pack similar to other stick bike arrangements. I would PREFER TO USE ONE BAG with a water bladder in it. ( and not two ). What do you folks do? Aero in very important.

...is immortalized in Sebring photos. I haven't seen John's version. My intent for this bag is to carry emergency tools tools and a water bladder. I'll use this every day and save the panniers for when I need to haul stuff. My modifications to the existing idea: 1- use 3/4"...

...for my own use. No commerical intent. I like the Radical Racer/Banana Racer panniers, but they're bigger than need for carrying my water bladder. The Radical Solo Racer might work for the Silvio but is too small for my purposes. The bags are 20" long, 6" tall at the front. 8" tall at the...

    yet another Silvio build thread

Hanging the bag at an angle is a compromise. I should have said that it takes more suction to lift the water 18 inches from the pannier than it does to pull it from a reservoir mounted high on the seat back. It was a surprise the first time but is manageable if I'm not panting too hard...
