    New and Improved Headrest Clamp

I too got my "Rojoclamp" and have installed it. To my amazement, when I removed my seat to do so, there was NO SCISSOR CLAMP installed! I was wondering why I couldn't get rid of some weird clattering when I rode. Now I know why. Thanks RojoRacing for your fine product.

    New and Improved Headrest Clamp

I have put a couple thousand miles on the Rojo Clamp System (RJS) and can report it has worked for me much better than the stock scissor clamp. One might think that once you have the headrest dialed in it doesn't make much difference but read on if you are open to other viewpoints. I found the...

I sense a disturbance in the 3rd Law

Is this insert for the cable entry into the frame installed in the correct direction? GREAT photos and detailed install descriptions! I can now see why you are taking more time than others to build you new babies! I have not spotted ANY black Thor hammers in the photos!!! Do I need to look...

My Neck Rest is better than Yours.

Sorry, I didn't take any. I will say - one thing that I did slightly different than Doug - after I cut the pieces out, and removed a slice to squeeze them narrower (I removed more like 3/8 or maybe even 1/2 an inch) - I glued the small pieces into to lower headrest tubes first (the part that...

    Comfort mods for S30

...modification. The front of the seat was fitted to the existing fixing points on the Silvio frame and by removing the headrest tube and scissor clamp I was able to secure the performer seat with a simple bracket attached to the rear of the Silvio frame. The result is a seat with some lumbar...

Doug and Jim bolted Maria's Doug and Jim bolted Maria's seat down like your last picture but not via the double set of scissor jack clamps but through the webbing between the frame holes. The end cap with the holes for the headrest frame and the pre-positioned scissor jack clamps are a...

headrest install - trick? And: Seatstay holes not lining up

...shows how the two The photo shows how the two parallel headrest posts enter the top of the frame. They are held by the first /upper scissor clamp (its bolt is out of focus) and then go further in where they're supposed to be held by the second scissor clamp (silver). The frame tube is...

headrest install - trick? And: Seatstay holes not lining up

...the small hole which I believe is an optional attachment point for the seat back. Are you trying to get that bolt through the headrest scissor clamp? Other than that bolt, I can't make out much in your photo. By "rods", do you mean the headrest posts? Are you trying to insert the clamps into...

    Vendetta vs Silvio

Mark, Lee had a hard time Mark, Lee had a hard time learning to ride his Vendetta and fell quite a lot and has since sold it. One of the things that curtailed Lee's initial efforts was some assembly problems from the LBS he had put the bike together for him. Apparently they did not...

    Waiting is hard to do.

...a straight line which results in pushing the headrest tubes outward tightly into the corners. How far down are you positioning the scissor clamp? On my Vendetta, I have mine positioned so the bolt tip is pressing about in between where the rear stays are welded to the frame tube. The...

    Waiting is hard to do.

Tuloose, Read this When I got my Vendetta, the Scissor clamp acted the way you describe...I couldn't get it to "spread". Then I took it apart and turned one of the pieces around the other way, put it back together and it started working that way.

    Waiting is hard to do.

scissor clamp Yep, 2 clamps and both are useless. Turning the screw on mine does nothing - the screw must push against something in order to spread the clamp which is what the instructions indicate. I went out to the garage to ride the bike and I grabbed the back by the head rest and it...

    Waiting is hard to do.

The head of the screw ran Bruce, I read this and it's left me confused... Maybe your scissor clamp works differently from mine, but the tip of the bolt in mine doesn't make contact with anything. Screwing it in just spreads the clamp. Also it seems that Silvios now come with two scissor...

    Waiting is hard to do.

...screws were extremely hard. I still was not able to get the clamp to spread properly. The head of the screw ran into the top of the scissor clamp before the tip of the screw made contact with the seat tube. I resorted to wedging in a wood shim under the screw. Although this is no one's...

should headrest slide in an out freely on silvio 2.0

Paul, you may also need to Paul, you may also need to check that the scissor clamp is installed on your headrest the right way. Mine was on backwards, which means the bolt cannot be tightened after the headrest is inserted into the frame. If it's backwards then it's very easy to fix, just take...

should headrest slide in an out freely on silvio 2.0

Vendetta 2 and Silvio 2 Vendetta 2 and Silvio 2 headrests are the same see photos and description here. I didn't capture a good photo of the scissor-jack clamp thingy that John invented in the link above but here is another photo of it. When you insert the headrest assembly into the frame...

How big of a learning curve did the Vendetta take for you to get use to it??

John....the bike shop didn't John....the bike shop didn't use the scissor clamp. I looked through the spare parts and didn't see it. The seat clamp must have been installed incorrectly because it was in the bottom of the frame tube. I got that part fixed last night after I found a picture of it...

...the third hole from the top. This is where the little scissor jack clamp is located. The rubber strap (recycled innertube?) holds the scissor clamp in place and the rubber sleeve around the outer radius of the two headrest tubes also helps to both cushion the tubes as they are pressed outward...
