    Buying a used V20 Vendetta.

...in at a hefty 35lbs. I'm not too worried about learning to ride a V20, more about getting a proper fit. Thanks for that tip on the chainstay length, I'll have to ask the seller about it. Do you know any specific measurements for the standard versus the longer version? 35 & 38 kms/hour does...

    Looking for a V20 chainstay - pre-V20c

I want to retrofit my Silvio 2.2 with a V20 chainstay, prior to the V20c. These chainstays mount to the BB shell inside of the bearing cups, not to the cups themselves. I need the regular (19.6") length. Anybody have one they want to sell?

Are V2 and V20 parts available?

Hi, Main reason to extend chain stay is to lower handlebars only or something else? Also where to get chainstay for V20, it should be from Cruzbike only?

Are V2 and V20 parts available?

Hey Kurt, you should post a photo of yourself on that bike; it looks like your boom is too far back by about 2-3 inches; I'm guessing that's because you have big hands, and the curve of the stock handlebars is to tight to get your hands into the curve.... leading to that super high handlebar...

Are V2 and V20 parts available?

I am 6'2" ride a v20c and formally a v20, both started with standard chain stays. The length of the chain stay is used to pivot the handlebars lower. I don't see the length of the chain stay being important for x-seam length. At least to a great extent, geometrically there is obviously a...

V20c tire clearance and wheel sizes

The rear tire can barely handle two inches. I wanted 2 inch Schwalbe Mondales on front and back so I swapped the front fork on my V20 with an S40 fork. It works great. Note that I'm running 26 inch wheels, which gives a bit more width.

...risk into areas that most people would not dare travel. (I think you woild have better luck offering to Crubbike to sponsor a new chainstay length between the stock and the long) I am pretty sure V20C forks are also a single length top tube premade durng manufacturing. Other ideas: rotate...

What crank arms/ should I use?

Thanks for the tips. That's saves me the frustration of finding both too short while in the middle of a build. I'm curious, what method did you use to add the extra links? Quick links or did you buy new pins or did you reuse the old pins? I'm unfamiliar with SRAM products. When looking for...

What crank arms/ should I use?

You may need extra chain. On my V20c with SRAM Eagle 10-52 with 46 tooth chainring and standard chainstay, the 126 link chain was just enough. But when I had on a larger chainring, I had to add a few links. So I made three chains from four and cycled through them, fresh waxing in between. Also...

Does anyone else have a design Wishlist for the next model of Q series?

...Slovenia) on a couple of Q45s with Rohloff hubs and Gates belts. They were fantastic. The gear ratio we used was determined by the chainstay length and it suited us well. We are slow riders who enjoy the scenery but not the hills, so having a lower gear range than the stock standard worked...

V20c tire clearance and wheel sizes

...chainstay decreases tire clearance from the chain in the lowest gear(s). ¿And has anyone tested smaller wheels on the V20c? Wheel size should have a similar effect to chainstay length. Smaller wheels should allow for more tire clearance from the frame but less from the chain at the lowest...

S40 for sale in NJ. 07083

Thanks! I’m working hard on selling a nice guitar to fund this. I gather you’re tall. I’m not, so I guess I would just swap to the shorter chainstay? I’m 5’6. Also, do you know the crank length? Not all that important. Just curious. A lot of people run these with crazy-short cranks.

New Guy - lots of questions

...Or is this also an adjustment thing? I watched the fit videos and saw how the various sliders and clamps are used to set position. I am 6 feet tall (183cm). Edit: It it just occurred to me that chainstay length options are for tall or short people. I assume medium is what comes with my order.

New Guy - lots of questions

Welcome to the tribe Lorenzo. I have some experience on a S40, but more on a V20 - however I learned on a Silvio 2.0 8 years ago which is pretty equivalent to the S40. My answers: Your chain length is determined by the length of your chainstay and also you gears. I am really short and ride a...

    looking for medium chainstay

Hi Don I think I can help, the V I bought of Jon D had a chainstay that was too long for me, I'm 174, I bought one to suit me but still have the longer one. I can't recall which length it is but I think Jon is about your height? If you're interested I'll dig it out and measure it for you.

...discussion in this thread. It would be helpful when discussing fit that posters mention their particulars, height and X-seam. Chainstay length is a crucial option when considering proper fit on a Cruzbike and it's important to know what size the rider actually is. If I'm not mistaken...
