    S40 2019 front fork compatibility

Would need a new fork, stay, the through axle, and also DR hanger to do a change.

That record will likely stand for a while I am sure.

    Records Will Fall

It is not official "in the books" yet but it is INDEED a NEW record. And a BIG one. Incredible accomplishment! The amazing thing is he is still standing. "Let's get some breakfast and then go for a ride!" https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXjq1NZjjc7/?igsh=b3VrczFoNWlxaWd0

I am not sure if Matthew is human or AI humanoid robot - a literal riding machine. It is looking like he will top the record if he just keeps the pace he is at. The bonus - I just about expect him to do it and then casually get off the bike and do a stretch. Incredible effort.

    Q45 on gravel

Nice pictures! I can say from experience that the FWD - and proper tires - are great for this type of riding. A RWD recumbent will usually wash out and have you laying on your side much sooner and definitely once you break traction. I know because I have tried it too many times to count. The Q...

New A4X and new to Cruzbike and Recumbents - Learning report

Before long you will be a pro. Don't overthink the inputs. My daughter who does not ride bikes - at all - and tends to overthink everything to the nth degree (lawyer) got it pretty good first run out of the gate. Definitely wise to always check your though axle. This is something that the folks...

A4X rear hub - standard 12mm Thru Axle?

You could get a 2.25 or maybe (?) a 2.5 in there... but I am not sure what the point of that would be. Beyond the 47b range and it doesn't make a lot of sense unless you are riding on the beach.

Well he is already 33 hours in riding at near 25mph average and over 318 miles.... that is next level already.

Size of slide shoulder washer for Q45 pivot clamp bolt?

I.D. - 8mm O.D - 11.8mm Thickness - 1mm The washers are the same ones that are typically used for MTB shock mounting sleeve bolts, so it is likely that a shop that works on/sells MTB's will have these. Not likely a typical hardware will have them.

Hey all - maybe most of you saw in the email - but if you did not, here is a good one to follow along with: https://cruzbike.com/pages/matthew-lefthand?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=campaign&utm_id=01KPG42HY1YCG6T6V7F5K22Q25&_kx=7vIM9neyJi_N5RnK5SLKkOy4uwHVGb3JYUN16Mrw1uE.SDfyx6

unfortunately still zig zaging going occasionally

One of the main things I see above all else is the slack heatube angle will never allow for proper steering. We have spent well over a decade refining the head tube angle and a slack angle never worked, irregardless of any other consideration like weight distribution, etc.

    Ready to give up…

Your fit looks pretty good IMHO - but you can move the slider back a hair to get your elbows a slight bit more inline with your torso. I would rotate your bars forward a hair as your wrists look cocked over a bit and not "neutral" to your forearm. Those small changes will allow your arms and...

A4X rear hub - standard 12mm Thru Axle?

Yes - the rear is 100mm same as the Q and S

    What about an S30?

Attaching an aftermarket seat - like a hardshell - to the A4x and simply using a different stock diameter 31.2mm tube bent to a different angle to get to 30 degrees would actually be exceedingly simple. The seat rail system (like on the newest T50 and also is on the Meta Mystique and all...

How do I tell which model of the Silvio I have?

The air shock in mine failed over ten years ago. You can basically leave it (it wont move most likely) or you can lock it in the extended position with a stainless hose clamp (this is what I did) as mine was not "frozen" but had lost all its pressure and could move up and down (it also has...

How do I tell which model of the Silvio I have?

If it is low mileage and in great shape it is a VERY GOOD first recumbent. One of the reasons I sill baby mine - it is one of my favorite Cruzbikes and one of the best recumbents of the era. It is pre-hydroformed frame design and a real gem. Dual 700c. Lots of positives of this bike. It's just...

How do I tell which model of the Silvio I have?

There might be some suspension forks around but I cannot guarantee it. That is a VERY early Silvio - it is likely nearing 20 years old - when there were literally often ZERO "spare parts" made for the batches of bikes - and the batches of bikes you could sometimes count on two or three hands...

    llavalle's A4X Build

Here are some pics of my experience trying to fit the Growtac caliper. As you can see it would not seat properly and the top interfered just a bit. Also in my case the lower part would contact the gear - even if it didn't have the upper interference. The folks at Bimotal confirmed with me after...
