    First Cruzbike Ride in Months

I don't ride as much as I used to, but I do ride 4 miles every day to and from the train station. Rain/sleet/snow I ride. When it is snowy/icy, I ride my upright folding bike with studded tires. I could mount studded tires on my commuting Cruzbike, but given my angle, I think balancing on icy...

    S40 transformed into F40?

Hi, I've been saying similar things for years, but with the new Silvio S40, it's just screaming to have this done. We really need somebody to add a front fairing, tailbox, and a sock. The P38 is a nice enough recumbent, but most people wouldn't consider it much to write home about. But...

Oops, I did it again... Introducing the Folding CruziTandem

Well, I got bored again... Really, it just kind of happened. O.k. That's not true. I like Cruzbikes. And I wanted a Tandem. And Cruzbike was nice enough to sell me what I needed, so, without further ado, here is the Folding CruziTandem: It is possibly the longest MBB bike in existence...

    Off-topic: Weekend Concert

I've been suffering a sinus "thing" that's preventing me from getting out much on my Cruzbikes (although my Mantis has been recently shoed with new Kojaks, so she's rarring to go). I have been riding as that's how I get to and from the train when going to work (but that's usually with a 16"...

    Where is everybody?

O.k. It's been several hours and not a single new post? Did everybody go out and ride at the same time? What's going on? Come on, people! I. Need. My. Fix. Get back to work! Double points for posting pictures!

    33 Miles, Uphill Both Ways?

I went to the 2nd Annual Dutches Rail Trail Recumbent ride. Great trail. Great group of people (~20-25 showed up). They claim the route is flat, but boy, it felt like I was going up-hill both ways. Balancing was a lot harder than usual. I rode the 33 miles (16.5 miles each way), but my...

    Don't respond to spam

Hi, O.k. There's no reason you should listen to me. I'm not an admin on this board, but... Yes, it's very annoying when people spam the board. But responding to it (even just posting the "Spam" picture (which is quite funny) just gives the spammers what they want. More attention...

    TTrike!!!!

http://cruzbike.com/tilting-trike-prototype-testing ?Bam! (I'd love to see a rear brake here, but that's solvable. I'll be very curious to see how this evolves.)

    Vendetta V20 bottom bracket height

The Silvio V30 still had the chain stay attachments. Does the Vendetta V20 have something similar or different sizes? Did I miss something?

USS Yiggy (version 1.1), a Trek Y 26 CruzBike Conversion

Nice write up. You're Nice write up. You're learning a lot with this bike. :D I'm a little worried about the zip ties holding the conversion kit to the fork. Keep an eye on those (at least). For the seat pan, your weight and the seat post should help keep it in place. Now let's hear...

    I ordered a Silvio...Built it Up...and my First Ride...and 300 miles later!

Hi Hi Rick, Congratulations! Yes, I'm pretty sure that 140mm fits in the back (and probably no need to go bigger). Even with disc brakes, you may have problems going bigger than 28mm on tires. (I personally agree with you that 32mm and wider tires are nice :) ). I'll also point...

Y26 Progress (was My persistence in searching has borne fruit!)

    1) Yes, new seat post (or 1) Yes, new seat post (or hacksaw). 2) You'll probably need a new bottom bracket. You probably won't need a new crankset (but it does depend on the type of crankset - square taper and you should be good to go). 3) Yes, you'll probably need a new one...

Some early pictures of the Flamingo folding bike Cruzbike conversion

Fabulous! I've been wanting Fabulous! I've been wanting to see a conversion where the rear wheel folds in (it makes the seat a non-issue). I personally wouldn't worry about the handlebars unless you find that them being that large keep you from putting the bike where it needs to go...

    Women named Maria kick @$$

O.k. This has nothing to do with Cruzbikes. But it's still very cool. For those of you who haven't been paying attention, Maria Leijerstam became the first individual to reach the South Pole under pedal power (she used a recumbent trike). Pretty damn cool (if not downright cold)!
