    commuting and recreational?

A beautiful ride on a beautiful bike! I can see why you use this route to test hill climbing ability. Thanks Nanda.

    commuting and recreational?

Thank you for the video! Two characteristics about the Quest that stand out for me among its many unique features (FWD MBB etc. ...need I say more) are the smaller wheels and the shorter chainstay (the shortest of all the bikes in the Cruzbike lineup). This allows a lower BB and a more open...

More good photos! Now the coup de gr?ce would be to provide a video(s) of riding the Quest from side and head-on perspectives, turning, etc. But you've done a lot already! The rack looks nice even though not a perfect fit. Pierre looks good on the bike, but I am more of your stature.

    commuting and recreational?

Nanda, in your photos of riding the bike, it looks like there is still a lot of room left for reclining the seat back. How far can it go? I also wonder what an internally geared hub on the front wheel would look like and if that's a possible modification worth trying out.

    commuting and recreational?

Wow, thanks! I was hoping to see a few pics tomorrow, but this is great! It hadn't occurred to me before, but it looks like there isn't much clearance between the back of your heel and the derailleur on the hub. I suppose this is a limiting factor on shortest practical length the chainstay...

    first ride: Quest 20 inch

Thank you. My x-seam is about 10cm greater. A little geometry and rough guessing and I think I could get some idea of where I would set the bottom bracket if I were riding the Quest 451. Wait, didn't I see a formula somewhere that yields an accurate prediction when you input x-seam?

    commuting and recreational?

Sounds like a blast! I've never wished I lived closer to Petaluma than I do now. After all this talk about the experience, I look forward to seeing pics of people riding it! Thanks for the pictures you've posted of the assembly - there's some very useful perspectives that I haven't seen...

    Quest conversion kit?

The Reach is a nice bike. And it would be an interesting conversion (though like you pointed out, no savings over Quest at all). It has a flat top bar, but the seat height once the conversion is complete would be much higher than on a Quest, probably more forward, and in a position that's an...

    first ride: Quest 20 inch

Thanks for posting this video, it really helps me understand the riding dynamics of the bike. You mentioned your wife has short legs, may I ask what her x-seam is? I look forward to seeing more videos of the Quest 451 being ridden by riders of different heights and from a variety of...

    Quest conversion kit?

As far as I can see right now, given a brief survey of the options, that's correct. The Quest is a complete package that taken together cannot be duplicated easily; it's a very polished looking product. I'd be happy if someone could prove me wrong. A small wheel conversion makes compromises...

    Quest conversion kit?

It is difficult to find a fully suspended (or even an unsuspended) 20" wheel bike that has the same low seat height and the narrow front fork of the Quest (to eliminate interference with the knees while pedaling, I assume?). In addition, BMX or child's bikes make bad donor bikes due to either...

    Quest conversion kit?

Thanks for the help! Clearly, if I eliminate suspension and foldability the resulting bike is hardly comparable to a Quest, and is simply a small wheel Cruzbike conversion. It looks like the V2K option lies outside of my ability, but the 20 inch wheel donor bike option is still a possiblity...

    Quest conversion kit?

I would simply buy a Cruzbike Quest right now if price were not a consideration. Cruzbike offers a fine product and does their best to keep costs low without sacrificing performance, so I am sure the Quest is worth every dollar, but if can get something similar that is more affordable and...
