The 27* seat angle was both with and with out headrest. I had My Aero set to 33* and that was as low as I could go. May have to find a Silvio 1.5 for the seat angle.
Merry Christmas everyone,
Has anyone done any tests(mods) for a higher seat angle on the Silivio (33* to 40*) yet? Doug!, anyone! Just can't do 27* seat back angle, tried it on the Aero and My Neck didn't like it at all!

Silvio seat angle
Hi Doug,
I have to agree with Lisa on the seat angle(about 38*)! Also the need to make sure that the 2.0 ver will handle triple chainrings in the front with a short x-seam rider.
Thanks,
Steve
seat angle on silvio
Lisa,
Before I write off the 2.0 ver, I will try to get close up pics of the frame and seat back(from John or Doug) to try to change the angle! Maybe something like a big rubber spacer will work or ?, Just don't know yet!
The arthritis in my neck will not...
Testing of 2.0 Silvio
John, How is the testing going on the new 2.0 Silvio? Is this the final ver. before production of the bike? How do you like the ride so far?
Anything you can tells about the ride compared to 1.5 ver.? If this is the final ver., when will it go into production...
Weight Differents
Hi John,
Will there be any weight saving with the new frame over the old? I, like Lisa hope the seat back has a little adjustment in it as ~33* is a litlle low for Me. I rode My Ti-Aero set abot ~33-35* angle and still had a litle trouble getting My feet down at stops...
Hi,
Does anybody know the crank height of the Silvio for the shortest and longest x-seam? Trying to figure out where my would be for a 39-40" x-seam.
Thanks
steve
Hi John,
Lucky for me I am not as you say "stout" across the middle. I am about 150lbs now, trying to get back to my normal weight of about 140lbs and 5'7" on a very good day.

Hi,
Found this donor bike, what do you think? Will it be OK? It is a 24" Huffy because I have short legs. It has alum. frame. I know it is a hardtail but might be ok.
First Quest ride
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I had my first Quest Ride. I got to ride Defjack Quest in chula vista, Ca.
First it was great to ride, I think I did real well for the first time.
At first I really noticed the heavy front...
Jack,
I have not decided on the donor bike Yet, been looking in all the right places just have not found one. I just wanted to look at the instructions to see if I could do the mods as a learning thing.

Hi All,
Is there a place to download a copy of the Conversion Kit Instructions, so I can see if I feel I will be able to build the kit before I buy one?
Thanks
steve :)
Thanks John,
For the info on 406 wheel sizes, I have two 20"(406) tandem sets one 1.5" and the other at 1.75" so I will have to give that some thought on using one of those for wheels for the Quest for loaded touring when I get the rear rack decided on.
I have a bike friday folding rack that I...
HI John or Doug,
Do either of you know what is the largest 20"(406) tire size the would fit on the Quest? The reason I ask, is that I have a couple of 20"(406) wheel sets from other bikes that I could use on a Quest frame kit.
Thanks
