    Looking for an S40 seat

Actually isn't the V20 seat incompatible with Silvio, due to the different angle of the butt part?

    Looking for an S40 seat

Oh interesting. That's also very tempting because it's a really good deal.

    Looking for an S40 seat

Yes quite, thank you. Given I'm already planning to heavily modify my Silvio 1.0 I'll try one out

    Looking for an S40 seat

Excellent, definitely interested, but I'm not fully decided on a Thor. Why do people use Thor seats instead of CruzBike ones? Is it simply that they're so much cheaper, or are there some other advantages? What size is it? I would want a medium Sport.

    Looking for an S40 seat

I'm also considering a Thor seat since they're so much cheaper. Hadn't heard of them until this thread. I'm planning on cutting off most the seat from my Silvio 1.0 and mounting a removable carbon one for better packing and hopefully a bit more comfort.

Want to sell it? How much would you want?

Any chance somebody has an extra one?

Seeking 4" Silvio 1.0 chainstay extension

I just had some more time on a Silvio with one of these and I decided I definitely want one. Feels both more comfortable and faster for me. I think these are long ago out of stock from Cruzbike, so hoping someone has one who isn't using it.

Multi-day group ride entry fee sponsorships!

I'm thinking about doing RAGBRAI this year. I haven't committed yet and don't have transportation plans though. I'm guessing there's a chance it could be canceled anyways.

Spotted CruzBike in the Bay Area "wild"

Saw someone on a black CruzBike (S30 I think) coming up Tunnel Rd yesterday in East Bay hills, Sunday 29th. I was going down the other way on a Silvio :)

What's on your bicycle tour packing list?

Gear: overnight shelter: Bivy sack (OR Helium) if I do not expect rain. Tarp tent if I expect rain. Camping hammock if rain is reasonable possibility and I know there will be trees. ground pad (Thermarest NeoAir) down quilt if summer (EE Enigma) or down mummy bag if spring / fall / winter...

    Flying with Silvio 1?

Wow has anybody here actually done this or have you heard of someone doing this and how it worked out? I'm thinking about something like this, but I think I'd need that seat modification to fit in this bag https://www.orucase.com/products/b2?variant=29128838905909 When I packed up my Silvio I...

    Flying with Silvio 1?

Last fall I did a nice short tour on my Silvio in Idaho (~210m mostly on Trail of the Coeur D'Alenes). The worst part was disassembling, packing, and reassembling the bike. I'm thinking about doing some more touring in other states on the Silvio and I'm hoping somebody has some tips for checking...

Schwalbe Marathon tires don't quite fit on Silvio

Thanks, think I'll give these a try. Since I'm doing a bike camping trip this weekend I should drop my bike at the shop now actually. Not going to try to do it myself again just in case those don't fit either.

Schwalbe Marathon tires don't quite fit on Silvio

The recommendation at the bike shop was Specialized Armadillo tires, but for now I'm just using the cheap and thin Mavics

Schwalbe Marathon tires don't quite fit on Silvio

Wow, I just measured both tires, and the Schwalbe Marathon 700x28 is slightly more than 3mm taller (6mm total diameter) than the Mavic Yksion Elite Guard 700x28. I switched back to my old tire, and I'm going to ask the LBS about an alternative x28 or x25 with more puncture protection that will...

Schwalbe Marathon tires don't quite fit on Silvio

Really? I have slick tires. If I ride through mud I can get build-up around the breaks, but rocks should never be squeezing between the fork and tire.

Schwalbe Marathon tires don't quite fit on Silvio

Oh oops, it's a 28mm tire, and I usually ride with 75 to 90 PSI. This tire does start to spin freely around 40 PSI, clearly far too low. I had a set of 28mm maxis tires that fit fine at over 100 PSI (don't know the specific brand, I got them lightly used from another biker). The front is still...

Schwalbe Marathon tires don't quite fit on Silvio

I've got these tires on 3 other bikes and like them a lot. I finally got a set for the Silvio today only to discover that they don't quite fit, at least in the rear fork. The wheel does turn, but the tire is slightly too tall and rubs a bit against the very center of the fork. It looks like this...

    Sheared rear shock attachment piece

The thing I'm concerned about is that if I want to upgrade to a custom air shock like "super slim" did, I'm concerned the thicker Ti connector won't be flexible enough and will shear quickly. If I do this I think the best option would be to make my own version like they did that's thinner. But...
