    RE: knee clearance - Chris - I solved this on my wife's softrider (knee clearance. By turning the stem around backwards and using dropbars ala Silvio. Moves the horizontal part of the bars closer to your body, and the dropbars put your hands out where they belong.

    Which Pedals For Silvio?

    mallets - I use the mallets. But they are hard to get in and out of until they are broken in. Takes a couple of hundred miles and then they work just great.

    100 or mm chainstay entension

    100mm - I am useing the 100mm extension. I'm 6'6" tall and this raised the BB about 6 inches. Worked out very well for me! Did not affect the front derailleur. You will, however have to lenghten the chain.
